Last championships at Faurot (at least short term)

Weather in late November/early December is always a crap shoot in the Midwest, but St Joe can be a doozy. Not an ideal location for that reason and for travel. Coldest game I ever attended was a semi-final game at Staley and St Joe is another 45 mins north. Guess it is what it is, layer up!
Just think of all the entertainment and lodging options in St Joe!!! (checks Google machine) Oh wait, yep, St Joe is still a crap hole out in the middle of nowhere.

That just kinda seems like someone at MSHSAA said "I know a guy at NWMO, they will host for as long as we need" and someone else said "perfect" and that was all the effort that went into it.
MSHSAA being lazy? Noooooooooooooo way.

It really makes little to no sense so it's no surprise that's what MSHSAA came up with.
Sums it up. It's mind-boggling. Unless, of course, you've been involved in athletics in MO most of your life. Then you understand completely.

Personally speaking, MO St is really the only answer if they were an option. The logistics are perfect outside of the southwest location. But honestly, Springfield is extremely accessible from anywhere in the state. They have the infrastructure to support it. It makes way more sense than any of the other options.

Only if they give up bball for about 20 years.

Bball in Springfield is a far better experience than in Columbia. Especially if they continue with the stupid 3rd place games. Proximity of the venues and the community support alone just crush the Columbia experience. But I'd never advocate from it not being in Columbia. If nothing else, it's the state university and it's in the middle-ish of the state.

I dont care about columbia. Springpatch wants football? Sure. Give up some bball to other locations then.

I'd argue the same thing for bball. I'm not sure it makes much sense to have it anywhere else other than COMO or Spfd. Logistics in any other area of the state just don't make much sense. Could solve a lot getting rid of the dumb 3rd place games.

MSHSAA is about as useless as a left handed screw driver.

Yet here we go heading to the arctic circle for show me bowls.

If they gonna do it for football, bball needs their turn too.

Moving to St. Joe for at least 3 years next year. I wouldn't mind a quad rotation with SEMO, Truman St, and Missouri St kinda like what Mississippi now does with North (Ole Miss/Miss St) and South (Southern Miss). Otherwise this is too far from center to lock in for 3 years while Faurot is renovated.

The answer is here...in Kansas City

St. Joe's facilities make sense especially since the Chiefs train there and its the right size of city that will make it feel very important, but its freaking St. Joe and out of the way for nearly the most of the population of the state. Really pretty much all the population in state lives along I-70 and I-44 within a 30 mile buffer zone of each.

No that's the women's cpkc stadium on the nasty ass river by nasty ass ballys casino
full

Facilities, maybe. Infrastructure/hotels? Negative. The one decent restaurant in all of St Joe might take a beating.

Missouri S&T in Rolla?
I feel like Rolla has the same issue as every other place mentioned that’s not in KC/STL/COMO/SPFD. Hotels and restaurants gonna be a whole thing. Just not enough to support the teams, much less those attending.

Between rolla and ft Leonard wood and air bnb I'm sure it would be ok. But I mean I'd take a peek at the numbers if someone had them lol

Use to be done at Arrowhead, COMO, or Dome because of turf. Now everyone has turf. If it is not at the Dome then go to the Kansas model where it is at 7 different locations (or 4 different locations, 2 games per site) all on the same day. Waste of resources and money going to these big places unless it is the Dome which was great to watch all the games. Plus I like the packed HS stadium rather than an empty college stadium.

It's interesting. I think there's some definite value to either model. Strangely (or not strangely), MSHSAA did something not even remotely close to any of the suggested models. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

That would be interesting have all high schools that meet the requirements submit if they want to host and then play half way between the 2 teams playing
