Definitely seems odd to me for sure. Webster Groves does have great tradition though. I think MICDS will be a sought after job no doubt.Matt Buha left MICDS to take Webster job per David Kvaidahl Tweet.
That’s a crazy turn of events, he had quite the program brewing at MICDS.
True story here.It is called retirement system of the public school teacher. Versus a private.
I think so, but not really sure how it works. If we melt down, do we all still get to keep our racist labels?
I have no idea, i was just stirring the pot. MICDS has the support, facilities and based on their record the last 4-5 years a some decent talent.I’d think MICDS may be in a great position to hire someone like that for a reasonable salary. The guys you mentioned are already drawing a full retirement and have earned it well. If the support, the facilities and talent is there at MICDS, they probably won’t have to break the bank to hire a good coach.
There are a few who do financially (fairly) well in coaching/education, but I don’t know anyone who entered the career counting on it. Signing that teaching certificate isn’t usually done by people in it for the $.
Then again, it’s quite possible I don’t have a clue. It’s a theory to consider, however.
I don’t know anything either, of course.
MICDS/Country Day is, without question, a bastion of tradition and history in MO HS football.
Trivia Question!
What Hall of Fame NFL coach led Country Day to a state title as their BASKETBALL coach?
Harv Welch!I don’t know anything either, of course.

Poor guy has been dead for a couple of years and still gets brought up for jobs on here, lolHarv Welch!
Rumor I heard was he maybe going to St Mary'sDoes the old Roosevelt coach have a job yet? He'd do well at MICDS.
Only schools in Jefferson County pay Double Extra for Coaches....the real question is when MICDS pays double extra for J-Rod, Jasper or another SWMO coach, does this board melt completely down or how does that work?
Their facility and campus are mind blowing, its the size of college campus, that has to be a selling point for sure.I don’t know anything either, of course.

Been there many times.
Try starring in a documentary. Plenty of my fellow Doc Guys did quite well!Yep. If I had an extra $90 grand laying around that's where my kids would go.
Not there yet unfortunately.
120k, for 4 years, but 100 percent go to college per their website. I have friends who have kids who have go there, apparently its a very challenging school, my understanding is kids find college easier than the high school.Yep. At one point, when my son was in middle school, he thought he needed to go to MICDS (apparently, he’d been there too many times as well).
After hearing this a few times, I finally asked him to choose - “Do you want to go college or do you want to go to MICDS? Because I can swing one or the other, but both is out of the question.” Never heard another word about it.
Don’t get me wrong. Great place, great reputation and I’ve known some great people through competing with them. I guess I can put it best with this little fable:
I had a course with a lovely young lady back in undergrad school. Her family had lived in LaDue for ever and she went to one of those all girls’ Catholic schools that few can pronounce correctly the first time they read them. Anyway... we get to know each other over the course of the semester and we got along famously. Finally, I was walking with her after class and asked if she wanted to go out that weekend.
She was visibly excited and almost seemed relieved I’d finally gotten around to it. So, equally relieved, I asked her what she would like to do.
Her reply: “May we go out for cocktails and to dine?”
Sure! No problem.
Little did I realize that grabbing a bottle of Jack and cruising over to White Castle wasn’t anything close to what she had in mind.
The morale of this story is when you’re eyeballing the bottle of Lafite-Rothschild Bordeaux, but the checking account balance screams “Bud Light!”
...get the six pack.
To clarify, I only said Harv Welch as a reference to the former running joke of his name always being thrown around for openings. Sad he is no longer with us.Poor guy has been dead for a couple of years and still gets brought up for jobs on here, lol
Thank God mom had the foresight to make my 1st 2 8-tracks Fleetwood Mac Rumors and Foghat Live!.Turns out, she preferred Mozart to Foghat as well. Can’t win.
Slow Ride, Fool for the City, Honey Hush immediately come to mind. That whole album was good, which was rare and great in the 8-track age.Foghat had, what, 2-3 decent tunes?

Things have a way of working out for a reason. I’ve been blessed with a spouse who is happy and agreeable whether I can spoil her or not. Thank God for that.
No I get it, and I commented because I thought it was funny. Harv was one of a kind.To clarify, I only said Harv Welch as a reference to the former running joke of his name always being thrown around for openings. Sad he is no longer with us.

I once held a fundraiser for the Ampipe Booster club and the prize was having someone follow me playing a tuba, as I walked the halls. The students loved it.I think I see a trombonist in the back.

I haven't heard any rumors except some people on Twitter saying he should gets the St. Mary's job. Now I have heard rumors they're probably going to hire an assistant coach on staff.Rumor I heard was he maybe going to St Mary's
