Remember, folks, MSHSAA does not make the rules. Your coach and/or AD does. MSHSAA just enforces (or doesn't enforce) the rules that the coaches/ADs voted in.

the multiplier is what forced them down, no multiplier and they are still in C3, for every private school that moves up a class one public school moves moves down.

or if C5 was not the catch-all they would be in C3. C5 only has 36 teams. 4 years ago they had over 50. the 2 smaller classes should be C1 and C6 not C 5&6, no common sense.

When the multiplier goes away next year, the classes will look better based on actual school size.

The multiplier is still in effect this season. Next year is when the “Success Multiplier” is applied.

Coaches and ADs have indirect effect. Principals are the main factor. Hopefully, most turn to help from their staff that does know something.
