MPJ done for the year

Doubtful, but a boy can always dream.

Wonder if any MU fans would trade HCCM for Underwood now?
Not while the fbi probe is unresolved. Also, I think Martin will be better at recruiting Missouri and east St. Louis. Right place right fit.

He better be...Underwood will be free and clear in FBI thing. And that dude can flat coach. Be interesting to see if he can recruit Chicago. Or if he even tries.

While the odds of him ever playing again for Mizzou are slim, I think his sentimental connection to the team and to Columbia can give us the tiniest bit of hope. Playing in his hometown, playing for his dad, playing with his brother... those are all considerations most high level guys don't have.

Will he go to the NBA? Probably. But there are at least some things to consider before making that decision.

Sr has had a pretty good 2 years for his top rated son to not play a game. They did get little brother but that wasn't why he was hired here or at Washington. It almost serves them right for paying to get the kid. But I'm as disappointed as most. It really looked like Mizzou might finally have something fall their way. Unfortunately reality happened.

I've watched MPJ play a few times. He's decent enough. Prolly with all the help, they a .700 club.

Without him, .400ish

Yea, he's pretty decent. You disagree?

I mean, he's no MJ or nothing, but for MIzzou, he's ok.

We know 6'10 athletic guys can dunk, and with practice , can hit an outside shot on occasion.

We will see how far off my prediction is.

Can he go to the NBA if he doesn't play a year in college? Will anyone take him before they get to see if he can play a season? Back trouble can be a persistent issue.

He’s, at worst, a top 5 NBA lottery pick. Yeah, that’s pretty decent.

All it takes is one team to take a chance. He's still a lottery pick unless his back is seriously screwed up.

Embiid went #3 overall with the knowledge he couldn't play for awhile.

A lot of pros, through the years, have had this surgery successfully. There can always be complications and exceptions but chances are good that he will be sound by draft day. I do think a year of college seasoning would have been good for him but on the other hand I think it is abominable that in this land of the free we tell a man that he can't go to work in his chosen profession until he is 19. You can go fight and die for your country but because you are gifted in a sport and have worked hard to master it you must wait a year to be a pro.
Oh, oh better take my soap box and head over to the political crap board.
