Most intense crowds at high school games?

You can't always go by size, but one that was impressive was Seneca in Fall 1987. They were on the 2A state title run.
Drove there from Springfield with some friends. Playoff game vs. Springfield Catholic. Knew that SMSU was
at least looking at this cat named Shannon Crouch.
Drove into town...place was shut down. Nothing there. Got to the Friday night lights, pulled in, and the home
side was a true sea of red. And the first time I ever saw the Tomahawk chop... Dayum. The fans looked like a red machine.

Best part. Kick off. Shannon Crouch for the touchdown. Why in the hell do you kick off to him? Seneca proceeded to dish out an ass kicking.

I have ventured down to Seneca on many occassions for many football games from youth to High school. And thier crowd has to be the wildest I have ever seen. During a Junior high game several fans came out of the stands and on the sideline the cops had to be called and when the cops got there they even gave the coaches a talking too....LOL, If you are the visting team be ready and their chain gang well.....

As for the Crouch family, it is a big sports weekend for them. The youngest son plays for a state title on Friday, and the older son competes in his second career professional boxing match at Buffalo Run on Saturday. He won his initial bout in August with a second round KO. Will be cheering for them to have a spectacular run with two Ws.

California used to have some nasty intense crowds back at the old field during their hey day in the 90s. Field was down in a hole, had that catholic church that gave off a medieval feel and the train would come rolling through.

RICH HILL - drinking from a keg in the back of a pick-up truck. Used to be, have NOT been in several years....Walk around that track and the trucks backed up there were having a bon-fire style drinking party, and they were not discrete about it.

Staley vs. Lees Summit West state semifinal game 2011 tops all !
There were several amazing things that happened in that game but one that sticks our was when Evan Boehm took out the ENTIRE D line with a pulling block. He hit 2 kids at the same time and knocked them into the other 3 and they fell like bowling pins.

Late 80s early 90s (can't remember) quarter-final Country Day at New Madrid County Central. All Cashmere on one side, all camouflage on the other. Country Day drove down RVs and tailgated before the game. Country Day got the victory on the road and, I am sure, partied all the way home.

From the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame

Shannon Crouch, Seneca High School: One of the best ever to play for Seneca High School, Crouch ranks fifth in the state in career all-purpose yards (7,476) as well as 10th in the state in career rushing attempts (836) and ninth in career rushing touchdowns (77). In 1986 and 1987, he was a USA Today All-American, as well as a First Team All-State, plus led Seneca to the Class 2 state championship his senior year as the Indians beat Brentwood 20-13. These days, Crouch is a state trooper with the Missouri Highway Patrol.
As good a rb I have seen in person. They would likely have won championships both his jr and sr yr, but he was injured first half in state game his jr yr. He missed time his sr yr due to injury also. He was best of Seneca tb in my opinion.

Whom was the excellent player for the Indians, early 2000's played in MLB as a pitcher? That cat was an INCREDIBLE RB and a very smooth LB. (I won $ when they played Harrisonville. I said when Hville does their 9-10-11 man front Seneca RB will run wild. He had something like 200 yards and 4 TDs at half.

He ran for like 2100 yds his soph year and didn't play fb his junior and senior year due to being a first round MLB pitcher and not wanting to get hurt . I played alot of travel baseball with him . Hell of an athlete ....about 6'3 215 ....strong as heck and fast to boot .

NEVER had (nor to this day) I seen one lineman (E Boehm) block one kid with EACH ARM/HAND! It was beyond belief............

Ironically I believe Scott Elbert was Shannon's nephew or something like that.

He played his JR year but not his SR year. Seneca went to the semis and got beat by Platte County.
