More forfeits

Alex, I would like "BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE" for 1000 please.....everyone might wanna pay attention to the eastern side of the state as there may be an undefeated class 5 school that could be vacating some W's for some ineligible/illegal players in 5 or so of their games....
All depends if MSHSAA wants to truly set an example or not once and for all.
hmm so that means your talking about either one of the following:

Cardinal Ritter
Rockwood Summit
St Dominic

So between those schools its not hard to tell the most probable one that your referencing. Source?

You know all this is JUST NOT FAIR. When you barely field a JV team, sometimes you need to bring in Varsity players for those JV matches so everyone has a game. Once again, the haves making rules for the have nots. Apartheid. Occupation. I feel like enrolling at a University and protesting.

Serious question....who polices this closely enought that they would turn a school in for a violation? Are the school reporting themselves?

Good small schools will have to play kids many Varsity quarters to keep the score down. Kid at Tipton, Dallas Peoples had almost 500 yards rushing in a half. I am sure jv had to play 2nd half to not run the score up. Lets say a talented 9th grader plays all 4 quarters og special teams on varsity, but is the starting WR/DB on JV. SHould he not be able to play the 4 quarters of JV?

I should add though, schools see what is going on with this issue and are reviewing their own stats and logs and self-reporting themselves. It is the rules.

Remember the quarter rule is for safety 1st and foremost and furthermore in a lot of situations there is kids not getting enough playing time

is it that hard to say the name of the darn school. Based upon that information you can't validate an issue.

just checked the systems:

CR 58
ST Dominic 133
Rockwood Summit 89
So if a school played a player 4 quarters in 1 game they could still play them 2 more in another game. Looking at the eligible players won't tell you a thing if a school is violating a rule playing players more than 6 quarters.

I been put under the impression nor do I believe that these latter ones have had anything to do with amount of quarters played.

You can't play players in games if they are not on your MSHSAA roster. It is a violation of the MSHSAA by laws. Varsity, JV, 9th grade, or even Junior High.

I agree with your point, but I do believe if a kid plays special teams only it counts as 1 quarter. But I also think it is silly that if you play 1 play on offense or defense in that quarter it counts as well.

But a kid could play 4 snaps in a quarter and it count as a quarter. I think there is a little gray area when people talk about "safety" and kids playing too many quarters. Now if you are playing a kid every snap on Friday night and then he suits up Monday and plays every snap then that's an issue.

Well yes common sense would be great however not many have it hence the rules having to be in place.

If you forfeit a game against a higher class team do you still get the extra points?
