Monett at Cassville

Anytime these two hook up it is going to be a hard hitting game, and round two of the Barry County War will be no different.
Monett wants to prove they can show up for all 4 quarters this time around. Monett's O-line and D-line has been a huge strength this year, and they have over the course of the year developed some depth. Monett runs the flex bone and has some nice skill kids and if you try to stop one, then another one will step up and hurt you. Defense the last four to five games has really started to come together and as a unit they are playing really well.
Cassville wants to prove that the first win was no fluke and they are the better team in Barry County. They too have some really good lineman on both sides of the ball. They have a really good receiver and their QB doesn't make a lot of mistakes and throws a really nice ball, they also have some good running backs that will run you over. Defense is always solid and they wrap up well and they usually bring you down on first contact its hard to break a tackle on them.
I like my Cubbies in a close one. Looking forward to a great game.

We Doc Guys are not a fan of ole Calvin. He tried to join us and didnt get voted in. He then unsuccessfully tried to ruin us. Recruited several members to form the "Replacement Alliance" which was just full of other rejected Doc Guys. Replacement Alliance was quickly replaced with "Wannabes" because they all wanted to be Doc Guys

Time for the CubHunter to weigh in on this, Monett is good, there is no doubt, but Cassville is better, just like the Monett meat head up there said If you take out one guy there is another to attack you from, not to mention the receiving core Cassville has, Dj White has already proven himself but the other kids don't get the ball as much but when they do they always make something happen with it, Everyone says Monett played horrible when they played cassville, well guess what? so did cassville it was 21-0 3rd quarter and the Wildcats kept letting big plays hit them, I can promise you Lance parnell is Coaching that defense up to no end and eliminating the big plays, Zach coenen was benched first playoff game against Aurora, well guess what ladies and gentlemen, The Freight Train is back and 100% Recovered and he will be ready to play football, don't get me wrong the Cubs are a solid team, but they can't handle the Cassville Wildcats, I predict the score to be 28-14, Also one of the star safeties for monett has been limping and I can tell you the cassville wildcats will take advantage of it. Cassville is better than what you guys give them credit for and they will show and shock everyone when Cassville hands them their second L and a sorry and sad bus ride home.

Bullit, you've got a pretty nice take on this game, however, I'm going to disagree a little with your statement about the Wildcat defense. While the coaches have done a really nice job of getting the players in position to make plays, the tackling has been suspect in several games this season. Two prime examples were the Seneca game, and up at Lamar. Both teams had backs that run exceptionally hard, and have zero issues running through arm tackles. Wildcat defenders were in position to make tackles for short gains or tackles in the backfield repeatedly, and just didn't get it done. If that is the case Friday night, your boys will be playing a week from tomorrow, and our bunch will be getting ready for basketball.

do you even watch any of the games? first off lamar had their yards from running on the outside of the defense and running around them, and seneca they had one break away run everything else was passing their big plays were in the air get your facts straight
It is Monett versus Cassville, I don't think there will be many missed tackles, the first game was a hard hitting game, and I think this one will be just as good.

Lamar ran off tackle about 100 times! Yes, they got to the outside because our DE's got hooked and failed to set the edge. Lamar lined up and ran it right at us. Zero pass attempts.
Yes, Seneca threw the ball some, but if you couldn't see the missed arm tackles in the run game, I question if you were even there.

Very familiar with Monett vs Cassville. I certainly expect another physical game. We'll see if the boys are ready to tackle or not tomorrow night.
Our district is wide open at the top. Put the top 4 seeds in a hat, and pull one out. Any one of them can take it.
All I can tell you about that is that our DE's had issues all night keeping the Lamar tackles from getting to their outside shoulders. Lamar has a really nice looking freshman back that ate us up, and Tucker ran as hard as anyone I've seen this year.
