He continues to hit zilch and is said to be a player that they want to rest, but is in the lineup again today with Waino on the mound. I think Waino could get through a game with another catcher behind the plate. Oh well I guess when he breaks down somebody will get the chance to catch. Waino is not looking so good again today. Another dropped ball right at him Wong fails to get the DP. I got to go get my tums in order to get through this game. God it's going to be along year. Go Birds!!!!!

Maness has got hit hard every time he has gone to the mound including spring training
Maness should have had an inning ending ground ball DP yesterday but it was booted. If they don't make those plays behind he will get beat up on a lot.
That doesn't change the fact that he has been getting rocked every time out including today.
If they make that play behind him to get out of the inning he doesn't get rocked in that game.
They didn't make the play and he got rocked. If a frog had wings it would fly. Good pitchers make pitches to get around errors he didn't do that and hasn't pitched well for the last part of last year and all of this year.
If you give major league teams extra out it will burn you more times a than not no matter who is pitching. Maness is not the power guy that will step up and strikeout the side after a mistake behind but he does get a LOT of ground balls. Eagles says MLB players don't make enough errors to make any difference so the ground balls he gets should mostly be outs right?
Since the middle of last year those ground balls have been going over the outfielders heads pay attention.
Well stat guys look it up and tell me how many ground balls he gets and how many fly balls he gets. I don't know how that will shake out but I could make a guess, might be the wrong guess though. Then see how many of those fly balls turned into outs too. You can use only the time frame from the end of June last season until now if you want. You can't include ST.

His GB% continues to drop. Was 68% and has dropped every year. His Homerun rate has increased every year to go along with his ERA, FIP and xFIP increasing yearly. His LOB% dropping.
Oh yea.....and his hard contact percent has increased.
I personally hope to see him every time the Cubs and Cardinals play
