We just need one more bat and either a closer or an innings eating starter. Just a few bricks shy of a load. And Mo stops short. Sad.

You wanted a middle of the order bat, they got one, now you want another one.

No. I wanted a middle of the order bat and a great defensive ss with Dejong moving to third. Lets be accurate. Lets face it, if Yadi is still in the five hole we are mediocre.

I think most of us agree the Birds needed more than an impact bat. They did what they had to and got Ozuna, but there is still no established closer and my biggest concern is the starting pitchers. Martinez will be fine, but I think the next 4 all have concerns. Weaver got rocked his last 2 starts probably be a stretch to anticipate more 160 innings , Waino is a 36 year old with a 90 year old arm maybe 150 innings. Wacha a 5 inning pitcher 165 innings, and Miles is a huge ? mark. Lot of innings left out there for the bullpen to pick up.

If only a middle of the rotation, innings eating competitor had been available to sign with absolutely no loss of prospects.....BPV phase 27 is more important than fielding a team with proven winners.

You did say a couple of months ago. Now you want another big bat and another pitcher of some kind. That has nothing to do with moving DeJong and getting a SS.

Yes. Once it became apparent a new SS wasnt even being considered.

I heard Mo on the radio in STL last week.
They are not planning to sign a pitcher because they think they have so many young studs in the minors it makes more sense to just use them.
