I am very afraid the same fate will befall the football team that the basketball team suffered, a victim of way overblown expectations. One magazine, I believe it was Athlon, had them ranked 11th in the country. I believe it was the same magazine that had their defensive line ranked fourth best in the nation. No way! I am a Mizzou alum, a season ticket holder, and a staunch Mizzou fan since grade school, but I just can't see it. I will have to be shown that the secondary is capable of covering someone. Brad Smith has to learn to complete a pass longer than eight yards, (Heaven help us if he gets hurt), and the kickers are the worst I have ever seen at Mizzou (just going on last year's performances and what I saw in the spring). I see about another 7-4 season. I hope I am proven wrong and have to eat crow. (Seems like that is a popular expression on this board)!
