Not having park hill is a travesty. Loaded team with talent all over field… physical team.. wouldn’t surprise me if they beat Staley and karney by a turbo this year

Park Hill beat RB in 3 OT to open last year. I still have BS South as the top KC metro squad but a really nice slate Week 1 in this area in this class if the schedules do just flip.

I'll meet ya in st joe will be plenty of kc teams there imo.
I'll also be in k town week 6
Assuming most schedules simply flip I am locked in for weeks 1-2-3-4-6. Looking very LS at Liberty to open then up to North for the annual battle of Liberty. Week 3 Smithville visits KMO while 4 that same Alma Mater goes to Park Hill in what should be a dandy and yes will see you Week 6.

Looking to go elsewhere in MO more than just that one STL trip this fall (SWMO likely) then have to wait and see how it all unfolds for the other two weeks.

BS & BSS were knocking on the door last year with BSS being an early favorite with what they return, that QB is electric, think he just had a bad game vs Liberty last year in the district final. LS/Liberty is a great week one matchup, many don't realize last year the RB for Liberty that was doing better in week 1 vs. LS got hurt and we all know what the other one did last year, will come down to the line for Liberty and can't sleep on what the LS coach did year one and has some athletes returning on both sides of the ball. Jury is out on LSN for me, will be year two beyond Mozee (both of them) and time will tell if they can keep things rolling with the emergence of LS. Both Liberty and Liberty North defensively will be strong, could be some defensive battles this year with them and BSS/BS.

PH is unknown to me, they looked really good early and then couldn't do anything against Liberty in the playoffs. IMO before they take that jump, they need to get a balanced attack or at least have some semblance of a running game to keep teams honest. Liberty just made a defensive adjustment and made them look really average late in the year.

Agree on RP, but Jones may need a year to rebuild, but who knows they have that stud RB who should be healthy and if Jones can get some lineman in the weight room which is a specialty, could be a quick turnaround with how big that district is.

DeSmet may have some trouble replacing the QB who went to KState and some key parts, but could easily see them and CBC right back at the top on the St Louis side. Nixa will be early favorite but will come down to everyone replacing those senior classes. Think the entire final four last year in class 6 was loaded with seniors talent in key positions.

Fun year ahead.

They are all fun but yes this could be a MAJOR one in Class 6. Liberty looks devastating up front both sides of the ball with a solid returning QB I am warming more and more to them and we are still 4.5 months away from Week 1!!!!

Agree on Park Hill that was one weakness Liberty exposed but the other I saw Kearney really expose was up the gut run D. That has to get better for them to contend, too.

I am, early on, all over CBC and got a chance on X to see their schedule looks like they've built a series with Lipscomb Academy now going down to GA, a state that is producing talent on par with FL TX and CA. Kinda like when Lutheran North went down to play Pat Nix's Central (Phenix City AL) squad if the Cadets can hang in that one..................look out.

The interesting part is we aren't talking about LS West or Staley. How times have changed indeed..................

If you get a chance, checkout the Pius schedule, hats off to them! They will be ready come playoff time or at least battle tested. Think they head to Dallas at some point in the season.

Think with Pius making a come back in recent years, along with OP and NKC coming back a bit with better facilities, Staley is tough place to coach football. May be something similar on LSW side, they benefited greatly on being the place where all new development was at, now may have settled in a bit.

Watch out, I do think LN enrollment is trending up and Liberty has been trending down based what I have seen, so we could see Liberty possibly at class 5 at some point. Would be crazy to have both Liberty and LN competing in different classes for the top spot.

What about a rumored third Liberty HS? As for LN trending up no surprise there. My sister's neighborhood in south Kearney is exploding, too. All the land down to Fishing River will eventually be single family homes. When I was a youngster I called everything north of Liberty Hill on I 35 the "hinterlands". The way it is going all that land will be occupied and sooner than we think!

That could/should eventually bump Kearney up to C5. Yes I have seen and LOVE what Pius is doing. I still honestly think they were the best team Platte County faced last season. Graduation will nail them so could start slow but no doubt Simone has huge numbers out and talent galore (stellar QB is returning) so I agree they could be a force come November when it all really counts.

Long shot on third high school with real estate market how it is. Think a few years ago someone said district would have to get to 14-15k kids prior to exploring this and last I heard they were around 12k or less (holding or declining). People aren't selling homes in any districts due to lower interest rates and those same families have kids aging out of schools, so thinking enrollments across the board will fluctuate until a new normal sets in. Schools all over will potentially suffer or stay stagnate with enrollment without new move in's that would normally happen. Open enrollment could help that, but who knows if and when that ever takes hold.

Park Hill will be interesting. Last year, they seemed like a finesse team. It was a great play from the skills players. But their line got owned by Liberty and Kearney. As evidence in the second half vs. Kearney. However, they have these all-district level players coming back. Notice the QB and the outstanding WRs are back. Don't see a turbo, but may be a long day for anyone playing them that can't handle pass D.

Opener is at Rock Bridge who also brings a good deal back. That was a 3 OT thriller to open last season as many may remember.

Good heavens not sure what anyone will have for Liberty's returning lines this fall...................if their O gels I could see them in St. Joe.

Curious.. Platte County. Losing 8 all-district starters on D. Will it really matter?

3 and outs empower an offense and wear a defense down. Platte getting exposed wouldn’t shock me. A good QB in HS can generally win it all and Rocco can move. Might be less about platte and more about what school those LN kids transfer into.

That D end, as I recall, is the one to watch that side of the ball. The other factor is can they diversify offensively i.e. find a running game? Give this crew a legit scat back it could be another video game offense.
