class 4 is 'easy mode'.

Warrensburg won't be in the top 10. QB, heart and soul of that team, was a SR. Savannah is the quiet improving program here but where is Kirksville?

Kearney would be on par with most of the better C5 teams only one I would put in the L column would be 92 Hwy (suspended for two years) rival Platte County.

There is no substitute for violence and game speed. Hate to admit it and I will enjoy like hell PH beating the snot out of karney that being said I wouldn’t want to face this squad. I also thought Karney QB was terrible a year ago but 25 lbs heavier he’s going to be a load.

Same thing with them returning their rb - the one beaver was spectacular at FB and he looks like he grew an inch and added 20 lbs. This is a nightmare team to play.

Karney doesn’t have to throw a pass this year but they also have a 6’6 kid doing well this offseason and a tight end who I hear has a very high ceiling…

Kirksville loses a lot to graduation. Their record will still look pretty good due to a weak schedule. They will be average at best.

How good is Savannah this year? That bracket sucks for those schools. Thinking of those programs without competitors who make state every year.

Here's my take as a St. Louis guy...

I only know of a few Lutheran North kids who've transferred out, but just a few unless there's much more that have gone away that I don't know about. They return perhaps the best 2027 QB Jonathan Moore, solid RB Martez Stephenson and excellent WR Mike Clark. I think they cool off just a bit as far as their skill goes, but I expect the Crusaders to be contenders again.

Hard to see Parkway North be a top 5 favorite given all of the talent they graduated but could still have a good defense and running game. Not looking good at QB unless they get a transfer plus they graduated every receiver on top of that. Still, they play a pretty competitive schedule for Class 4 standards and probably will be a tough out come districts but won't be as strong as the last few seasons.

Warrenton would for sure be a top 10 team if they still had Chance McPike but he's now in Kentucky. Their offense still retains some key pieces from their offensive line however they graduated their QB, RB and best receiver. They do return their best defender, Javon Jones who's a great edge rusher and should have enough to recoup defensively. As long as they can sustain injuries, Warrenton should win at least 6-7 games.

Festus is another team who was amazing in 2024 but graduated a lot of pieces. They should still be one of the faster Class 4 teams given the amount of skill they had.

I'm most skeptical on Parkway North being a top 10 Class 4 team in 2025 given how much they lost and how different they'll look offensively. One team I'll throw in is Orchard Farm. They return a decent amount after winning 10 games and finishing second to Warrenton in the GAC North. Also don't sleep on Holt who return some key pieces and added a really good player.

Kearney is the team to beat IMO.

The title game being circa 40 miles from KMO will be a player in that more intimate MWSU stadium in St. Joe, too. If the ole alma mater does indeed make the C4 title game they may as well close this town down that morning.
