Could Fred win a title at a THIRD MO school next Saturday? My bet is on them doing it..........56-14 MICDS JV in for the 4th
Based on the team I saw today vs the Helias team I saw last night I would bet money on MICDS. However playing in Jeff city has to be an advantage to HeliasCould Fred win a title at a THIRD MO school next Saturday? My bet is on them doing it..........
Mega ditto for BLAIR OAKS, too.Based on the team I saw today vs the Helias team I saw last night I would bet money on MICDS. However playing in Jeff city has to be an advantage to Helias
He was not the coach at Palmyra then. That was Par Pitts that led Palmyra to a runner up finish in 2000 against St. Pius X.If I’m not mistaken, he lead Palmyra to a runner up ShowMe Bowl trip circa 2000. Coached 4 different programs to the title game?
Can anyone validate this?
That was Par Pitts in 00 I think. Fred left Palmyra for Bolivar in 2000ish, right??? Then on to Hville in 03ish? Maybe 02. Can’t remember. I remember being a kid sitting with Fred and Steve Dains (his longtime asst) in a hotel room during one of the Lakers later 80s title games. It could’ve been one in the 90s though. Morning before the game. They were Laker assistants back then. My head was swimming with the amount of football they were talking. It was intense. Fred has always been warp speed about football. You could start a conversation with him about the price of gas, but before you knew it he was full on talking about football. If I’m not mistaken, he lead Palmyra to a runner up ShowMe Bowl trip circa 2000. Yes...and also at Troy Buchanan... he is now at Camdenton where he grew up and played for Bob Shore.Didn't Par Pitts make a coaching stop in Odessa?
I thought so. He had a pretty rough time in Odessa too.Yes...and also at Troy Buchanan... he is now at Camdenton where he grew up and played for Bob Shore.
Long list of those folks in football and hoops both. Grew up with a guy that coached hoops there for a few years. Drove about 45 mins each way to do it. Was a serious grind. Good dude and good coach. Couldn't wait to leave. Place can be rough on coaches.I thought so. He had a pretty rough time in Odessa too.
I believe before Coach Thomas they went through something like 5 coaches in 9 yearsLong list of those folks in football and hoops both. Grew up with a guy that coached hoops there for a few years. No more advantage than the St Louis schools playing at the Dome back in the dayBased on the team I saw today vs the Helias team I saw last night I would bet money on MICDS. However playing in Jeff city has to be an advantage to Helias
Oh for sure. Im just saying less travel etc. totally agree. When my son played in the dome back in the day with Webster it was nice not having to travel. No more advantage than the St Louis schools playing at the Dome back in the day
They are the bulldogsAny of them get run outta town Ampipe style!?
Oof. That’s rough. Buddy said the expectations from those in the community didn’t exactly match the level of commitment. Talent was there. Inmates ran the asylum though. Which I’d say is pretty typical with a place with that high of turnover. Seems to be better now. At least from a long way outside looking in.I believe before Coach Thomas they went through something like 5 coaches in 9 years
Not sure if those numbers are exactly spot on but yes, Odessa burned through football coaches after Hopkins left.I believe before Coach Thomas they went through something like 5 coaches in 9 years

Oof!! Ampipe doesnt even come close to those numbers!I believe before Coach Thomas they went through something like 5 coaches in 9 years
I am pretty sure the AD and superintendent that hired Coach Pitts were both fired within the month(s) after he was hired. Definitely before the school year started. So I am sure this did not help with support during his time there.I thought so. He had a pretty rough time in Odessa too.
