I'm sure a lot of folks are looking forward to Webb City being irrelevant in football but it would take a really bad coach to field a turd there at least for the next few years. There are loads of reasons why WC is good only one of which is the HC - the rest of those reasons are still in tact. They may not be winning state every other year but I don't see them being bad or even mediocre anytime soon with or without Roderique.History is history though. Some folks still read it and enjoy it. Webb will be known for excellent high school football for quite some time. Kearney is still known for a local train robber of the late 1800s and his gang: the American Robin Hood.
Not so lucky...you will still be my little bitch...You just ride the train. I lay down the tracks.Does this mean that in a fortuitous turn of events, you’re going to fall off the face of the planet, never to be heard from again. If that’s the case, I like the sounds of that last chance.
Agreed. More history should be written in Webb before this football dynasty becomes like that of Permian. Next year's squad, if it remains healthy, has great potential to win various pieces of hardware. Sure it could all fall apart but I think the worst case scenario is WC football becomes more like many of their other sports which more often than not is at least in the top half of the COC and a possible district champ. Getting back under the C5 cutoff would be helpful right now as well.

I believe this past season was 26 yearsHow many years did JRod coach at WC?
One hell of a run.I believe this past season was 26 years
What’s your thoughts on this? Think parents will? The question isn't about a drop off in the next few years. The question is about whether or not parents keep moving their kids there in 5th grade.
YES at least in the short term. I was chatting with a friend's son the other day about his team, I am not sure what grade he's in but somewhere around there. He was excited about some kid who was moving from another nearby town, supposedly will be one of the best kids on their team. I also mentioned last week about hearing of another 4 families right now that are in the process of making the jump, these are all with kids ranging from late elementary to Jr High age - although 2 of those are mainly motivated by baseball. The question isn't about a drop off in the next few years. They have already lost this to a degree. Several local teams have bagged their first (or several) wins over the Cardinals in the last few years. Joplin has 4, Carthage has 3, Nixa 2, Republic, Ozark, and Carl Junction each have 1. Branson nearly got one. A few years back beating WC was all but impossible and teams went into that game already defeated because if no one else can beat them how can we? It's still very difficult but it's at least achievable. Will they lose the fear/intimidation factor without the coach? For teams that meet Webb for the first in the playoffs you heard stories of what was coming. I’m sure it was a 1-2 score advantage for Webb before the game even started when they were on their run.
