Rep Massie says “Under the policies of this bill, we’re going to add $20 trillion dollars to the debt over the next 10 years, which is three and a half to $5 trillion more than would have been added otherwise.”

Trump gonna try to primary him. When will you derps wake up?

Go conservatives!!!

Fat Donnie has been steadfastly opposed to any capping of the debt limit... I wonder why ? ;)

the really bad part is this big welfare bill will give give give until mangomussolini is out of office then all the big cuts happen.

And his faithful just keep lapping it up.

But by not passing this you are basically punishing the middle class, because the TCJA most of the provisions for the lower brackets and a more generous child tax credit, because those provisions are temporary and set to expire. The Rich still get to keep their tax breaks.

The one thing that I am not a fan of is raising the Salt deduction. I don't think people in Missouri should be forced to pay more federal taxes because other states punish you for living there.

If you are trying to rationalize this horror show you have turned into a big time Trumper. If Repubs pass this they can never criticize Dem spending again.

I don't see much good about what the GOP is trying to do. I think they are rushing sht through before they get ROFLSTOMPED in the midterms and trump gets convicted in the Senate.

not trying to rationalize, I am asking a question is that not true? The Dems up until this year have said that. This is not me this is what AI says. So again not trying to rationalize but the truth is if not extended or passed the Middle class will suffer not the rich.

The TCJA lowered individual income tax rates across most income brackets. If the provisions expire, these rates would revert to pre-TCJA levels, resulting in higher tax liabilities for many middle-income earners.
  • The TCJA nearly doubled the standard deduction, simplifying tax filing for many and reducing their tax burden. If the increased deduction expires, middle-class taxpayers would face a smaller standard deduction, potentially leading to higher taxes unless they itemize.
  • The TCJA increased the Child Tax Credit (CTC) to $2,000 per child. If the provision expires, the CTC would revert to its pre-TCJA level of $1,000 per child, potentially impacting middle-class families with children.

In essence, the expiration of these TCJA provisions would likely lead to a tax increase for many middle-class families.

Have you read the bill that passed last night?
Read it closely. If you can look in the mirror and tell yourself the country is better now for middle class and poor people, then you are just not a serious person. The entire project 2025 agenda in one bill.

But hey, there is a tax cut on tanning beds.
