Just how good is Lutheran South? Does Mount Vernon have much of a chance? I haven’t watched Lutheran South much this year!

Lutheran South is for real. They have a balanced offense and they can stop the run and the pass on defense. They've earned their spot in the semifinals. They can beat Mt. Vernon. They don't have much film up that is public, but you can Google "Cody Schrader" and watch his HUDL clips. It will show you most of what you need to know about how Lutheran South gets down.
Saw them against Monett last year, how much did they return from last years team, are they better than last year?
McCluer South-Berkeley played Monett last year. This season is the first that Lutheran South has won their District and the first Semifinal they've played in in 20+ years.
But, yes ... Lutheran South is better than they were last season.
No worries. LS runs a pistol-spread offense and they run to set up the pass. On defense, it's a 3-4 Cover 2 and they'll blitz and stunt plenty. They have the speed to match up in Man at CB and in the Slot and they have strong special teams play. They can score in bunches and in the return game and their kicker can make 30+ yd field goals. They'll take whatever a team gives them when they're on offense and they can stop the run if a team doesn't execute or overpower them.
Lutheran South is Lutheran North's sister-school. No need for you to watch any film or anything. Just go ahead and gossip and complain. Just because South's kids don't make the papers about their college offers shouldn't stop you from bitching about stuff, right?
I honestly watched over this page before I ever signed up. And honestly your opinion I’ve seen a thousand times. Your argument is flawed. But a bunch of kids who are not of said religion, going to a religious school together, to play football for someone they have talked to about playing football, is as obvious recruitment as I’ve seen. But you are right, it’s not been looked into, and therefore people need to contact someone who can do something about it. If the rules are loose, and there’s loop holes in the rules, there’s nothing that can be done. It’s also sad to see the “dangerous” exuse being used, when they are going from one dangerous section of St Louis to another. This is all sports related. Unfortunately relglious schools are a front for these athletes. But hey, if Lamar loses it took a recruited private school to beat them.
You just posted about "you heard that the Caruthersville coach said that LN played dirty" and you can't stop yourself from taking shots about recruiting and bitching about how unfair you feel MSHSAA's rules are. It's an anonymous online forum, so feel free to say what you want to. Just be clear that Lutheran South and Lutheran North are governed by the same Lutheran Association in STL, and whatever "shady" and "unethical" behavior you feel morally compelled to rail about at North, also happens at South. Either way, both schools will be playing in their respective Semifinals this weekend. Enjoy the games.

Oh probably not. I think youre referring their rival group, the Wannabes. The Doc Guys like to provide some insight and humor to most threads on the board. Often at times, they relate the threads topic back to their glory days, when their respective doc was filmed. No idea why anyone would want to ignore that!!

I literally have no idea what Mt Vernon looks like because all of their players have closed access to their highlights.
My.Vernon is quite the story this year, while I won’t give much detail into the play style. I will say the first half of the year they were terrible. And the second half they looked really really good. Something clicked. They can throw and run the ball. South will have a tough game. Should be a good one.
