Don’t know why anyone would want that man child as part of their program. I know I defend private schools but his program was not one. Of all the programs that should be investigated it’s his. (Well I could name 2 or three more).
The NCAA changes the rules at anytime these days but I thought they made it illegal to sign a kid from a school and hire their high school coach to an off the field role within two years

My guess is they lose a few players no matter who the coach is.
Will they go the way of Vianney and St. Mary's? Funny how fast (STM circumstances aside) those two quit recruiting the elite...

My guess is a couple of issues compound. Read in the post a few days ago Catholic schools in STL have dwindling enrollment and expenses certainly going up. Many of them grade schools but still.
Another issue is businessman X donates to a program. He expects little Johnny to get playing time. Dad sees students who are bigger, faster, and stronger than Johnny who are paying reduced tuition on the field while Johnny servers water, so dad figures he doesn't need to give them any more money.
Change in leadership can bring in someone who doesn't put the same emphasis on football, so the coaches don't get the same support and the same level of players.
