See, this is why Odessa would have been such a challenge. Whomever comes out of this one has to take on CR or a good unknown team that beat them. Other than Cassville perhaps Odessa had the far easier road ahead. Totally turned the bracket on it's head. That's a shame.

Don’t rule BO out. Coaching is important. BO has 11 games under it’s belt. Said a few weeks back “game shape” conditioning could be a huge deal with StL schools starting late. Coupled with game on a Saturday and weather could be warm for November. I know they have tons of talent but BO isn’t exactly playing with a bunch of slouches.

As we used to say that’s why you play the game. People can predict what will happen all week and lots on here will rule out a rural school but sleeping in your own bed, playing at home means a lot. Hope it’s a good game and gets to be played.

I watched Blair Oaks play Valle this is not a great Blair Oaks team they are god but not great. I watched St. Mary's play, Valle, the difference was the speed. This Luthern North Team has a way too much speed for this Blair Oaks team. 2 years ago that Blair Oak team was incredible.

I saw that game as well. I also saw many many other games. BO did not play well in that game but at the same time without being able to practice and having to travel they did alright but not up to what they are usually doing. BO should have won that game. They beat themselves. Speed huh? LOL LOL. If you think BO can't handle speed then you really haven't seen this team at all.

Btw, the numbers may be slightly higher then in comparison to now. But have you considered the fact those younger ones outplayed and won starting jobs over the older ones then? Those “younger not as good” ones went to play at big colleges. Lol it was still amazing Lamar and co beat those teams.

Nah, nobody is asking anyone to play for them. Definitely fake news. People forget hardly anyone moves to Lamar. There’s no jobs there. Most of the last names on the program each year are names you’d see from previous seasons. They have had a few kids move into the school district in middle school from surrounding farming towns over the past decade.

All I know is this is a whole new year and new teams for both schools. Does not matter what happened in the past, does not matter who each has beaten or who they lost to. Saturdays game will be won or lost on that field. You will see great players on both sidelines. Both schools have great respect for each other so let the kids and coaches enjoy this week and prepare for hopefully a great game Saturday. Be thankful the game is still on right now. I know I am.

the difference is location, name recognition etc between CBC, DeSmet, and smaller schools like Lutheran SC and Duschense. Better kids want to go to the bigger schools. LSC and Duschense don’t have name recognition.
