Lutheran North 24 - Kearney 21 (FINAL)

They had a great year Top. Not sure what you guys have in cupboard but I am sure they will reload and be ready for next year.
I have small critiques (every team especially at this level has flaws) but today will benefit this program IMMENSELY hard as losing is to swallow (it better be or you are in the wrong business) but the better team definitely won today.

Lutheran was extremely disciplined compared to all the games I saw this year and focused like a laser beam. I think Kearney, not having played anyone quite like them before, was a bit wide eyed outside their stars who played lights out (Noland and Grace in particular). Full summary to come after I get Playoff Challenge work done.

Bixby vs. everyone else is what Tulsa is........................Westlake still rules Austin until someone knocks them off.
I have a relative who came up for T-day is from Bixby and a big fan. They have lost twice this season, once to Owasso and once to Norman.
He thinks that Norman will run the table this season. They have a rematch with Owasso this coming weekend.

Well hell, I guess I bought into the hype - without seeing a single Kearney game - that perhaps the Bulldogs WERE the best team that Missouri high school football had ever seen. That they COULD beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

Alas... (sigh)
Interestingly John Roderique stated the only teams in MO that could beat the 2003 Kearney Bulldogs were the Rams, Chiefs and Mizzou.

All of it total hyperbole. NO HSFB team including Mater Dei-Gorman-DVille etc. etc. could beat any D2.

Unless they run the veer and play Pitt?

They got away from physical play.
Mamby pamby spread chuck and duck doesn't work well in bad weather against teams with equal talent.
Defenses also are not as strong. Central Oklahoma had a bad defense but most teams in the MIAA couldn't slow down their offense. MIAA definitely got exposed by Harding and Ferris this year. Those are two very physical teams and will be a fun battle to watch. These are probably the two best teams in the country.

No need for the tag! EVERYONE on here knows that @cardsfan200306 's opinion on food is TERRIBLE!! He is STILL claiming that TX has the worlds best BBQ. Perhaps if you enjoy eating smoked boots and leather straps!
I invite you to try any place I recommend and then speak on it's validity.

The biggest issue with KC folks is they get butthurt if you call their baby ugly and immediately go into defense mode when they have not even tried true Texas bbq. I have tried every place recommended in KC and have found only 2 edible joints. Harp BBQ formally in raytown now in Overland park and Chef Js in the west bottoms.

Don't get me started on the trash ass mexican food here, however Katrina's taxes and tequila in Independence in good
