I saw a story last night on the news that Lincoln Prep has to come up with seat for around 900 people by tomorrow or they cannot host the game. They were trying to raise money and purchase and have the seats installed by game time. I would think they would try to borrow some bleachers for now. Anyone heard an update on this?

They have sold tickets and already sent out that the game has been moved to Southeast High School. I am not sure if they could change that if they do find the seating before game time. I doubt it this close to the game but who knows.
Very unfortunate for those seniors. Plus, what a neat field!

I read a story online, their facility only seats 1,000 and the state requires a stadium to seat at least 1,900 to host a playoff game.
their weight room is also condemned so they lift weights outside.
and their are no concessions or bathrooms at their stadium either.
bit they do have electric blue turf which was donated I believe.

For reference, in the upper right hand corner is Lincoln High and the field you see by the school is where the blue turf is now. The legendary Arthur Bryants BBQ is north a few block. Ollie Gates, of Gates BBQ, played football at Lincoln and was a runner-up in the shot put in the 1948 MNIAA track meet. Lincoln, along with Western Baptist, were the only black high schools at that time in KC.
What a sh.tty run school district. Your one team that is a contender now along with having your best students and you can't have an inside weight room or host a game. MSHSAA is either a bunch of dicks and didn't make that known or the district is a bunch of incompetents. Multiple Chiefs would of stepped up, Mike's Got This Dipasquale would've as well, had they known in time.
The requirements to host a playoff game are listed in the Football manual every year. You can go to the MSHSAA website and check it out. Several schools were not allowed to host games back when the had playoff games on Mondays and Wednesdays nights because they didn't have lights on their field.
That's probably the A's (no crowd). So, before they left for Oakland in the late sixties.
I saw the Chiefs and the Royals there. Chief's games had these bleachers stuck in a corner, aka the cheap seats. I swear they were 150 rows high!
I think that is actually from the Royals years. Right field has bleachers. A's had a grass berm behind right field.
Even if they would have gotten bleachers they still couldnt host because of no restrooms. Rules are Rules!!
I thought LP hosted a playoff game a couple years back against Excelsior? Am I wrong? It was a 2OT game maybe?

Pretty sure that was just a district semi-final game. They hosted three home district games that year.
There's a lot of things about MSHSAA that I don't care for but this one isn't MSHSAA's fault. They didn't condemn the weight room or cause the other stadium problems. That's the district's fault. They still get to play in KC and their fans can still go to the game without much problem . It's not like to have to travel to St. Louis to play their game like Lee Summit North or Liberty North
