Never know how serious a person is. Sometimes they seem to make sure their name gets mentioned a lot.
It is definitely not Pugh - it is almost a certainty he will be leaving LN which is shame - Charlie is one class guy and will be missed
I haven't seen a football banquet scheduled in January( I could be wrong though).
I heard he was planning on coaching both teams next year. Morning practice for the Liberty North kids will suck.
Liberty North...he coaches with a mustache...Kearney with a goatee.
Only teaches one class at each school, gets a plan time and commute time. Good gig!
I bet when coach finds out who northland football and JNreturns are he will have a very nice conversation with you both. Sure would have been nice to let the boys have their banquet without this distraction. But I guess you can thump your chests that you said it first. Amazing.
Dont bring me into this. The old lady gossip queens on here knew more about it than i did. LOTS OF PEOPLE are gossiping...for all i know, this is the troll prank of the year. If he does leave the purple helmet city, it opens the door up for neighboring Excelsior to become the Disrict Champs. At least they could beat Harrisinville this year. Bahaha

I doubt he cares that much. Marketing 101: get your name brought as much as possible.
Liberty North is going to Class 6 in the next cycle. They are raising money for a stadiym. It is a classic mini mall suburban bedroom area with many different housing developments that are disconnected. There is no football culture there. The kids play youth football in four different leagues...so they dont even get to know each other much until 8th grade.
They need a leader that can transition them into Class 6 and help get the stadium money... "Dollar signs," as Coach Mangino said.

Not based on facts...but good old fashioned deduction. Im sure based on LN's needs (mentioned above) they will offer much more $. And teacher retirement is based on? Answer that...and you'll have another point in favor. A team is 4-7 in class 5...losing to a Class 4 team 30-0. Now play Rock, Blue Springs and LSW....in Class 6. As admin, id be calling all coaches that could help me swim above water. Deduction lad. Deduction.
Interesting- it was shared with me from a parent whose son played for Coach Jones this year. So I'm thinking the kids may have already heard the rumor.

Interesting to see how his in your face personality goes over at LN. The typical LN'er does not see themselves as small town america where everything revolves around the football team.
No doubt he can coach. if he gets the buy-in he got at Kearney look out.

Defintely not a "football town." They care about all their other sports...district champs five years in a row in BB...state semis twice. They have won state in track, etc... Interesting to see how a Jones type would do in a place where football is "just another sport."

I'll believe it when it happens, and it would definitely be one of the biggest moves in the area in a long time. Have changes occurred at Kearney? What do they have coming up?
I doubt it's much of a Chinese fire drill. Kearney probably promotes from within.

The BB coach is an assistant principal i believe, I don't think any other HC in district is an assistant principal. Not a football town, culture and toughness need changed. How many does Jones bring with him to help with this
Pampered, entitled, babied, suburban brats. I have a relative that coaches in the district. Im old school...SMH at some of the BS coaches allowed there...and deal with there. The reason LN is 1-6 and liberty was 0-2 versus smaller Kearney go beyond coaching...defintely culture... It would take a book to explain.

I would go Greg Williams on them DAY 1. YOu have to DECIDE, are you on board and want to win and do your best EVERY single play, every single day... IF NOT, then GET OUT!
As far as the student is concerned, probably not a lot different family unit than what is found at Staley. Now you may have a different administrative focus, but a strong coach can change a culture quickly. Schools love winning, and nothing creates more pride for a school than winning Football games, if he or whatever coach takes over, can win early, they could create a monster up there.
Well, there you go. I would scream it at them every day. If once is good, a thousand times must be great.
The student athletes would file a lawsuit to establish a safe space (with gaming systems) for them to be during practice.
