LN special teams horrendous. bad KO and coverage led to short field. Fake punt for TD. 14-7. Terrible shanked punt sets up short field again for RP.
Its a craptastic Jonesapalooza show. Two time outs to prevent delays of game. Bad special teams meltdown.

Now Liberty North fans know how we Kearney fans felt 9 years ago...............still does not take away from the amazing job Jones and staff have done in just THREE years especially moving up to Class 6.
Well, if you read the posts you know I didnt predict anything. It was a pick-em.
Jones has won 19 games his first 3 years

Yeah, they moved to Class 6. Which means little in the Sw where you only have a couple crap teams. But in KC...whole different world when you have to play Blue Springs, Park Hill, Rock, Blue Springs South, and all the Lees Summits.

Class 6 or not, if memory serves me, I'll wager that Liberty North had a more difficult strength of schedule in 2015 than they had this year.

They did play two State champions but, no, this year's gauntlet was more difficult. Liberty North was my pre-season C6 team to watch but I never, ever thought 11-1 would happen. The thing is the upcoming talent Jones and co. have is even more promising..............perhaps way more so ergo this was not a "one year" deal unless he heads to the College ranks.
It might have been three state champs. I'd like to see their strength of schedule ratings. I bet it was stronger
And this is for sure not one year deal for LN. they should contend for a long time.

Actually you are right and North won at Kearney and vs. Fort O. If I recall correctly the starting QB was out (actually got knocked out of the Kearney game) in each of those wins.
You are 100% correct , we only have a couple of crap teams down here. KC Metro area is completely full of them.
Go over to the basketball board with all the other Kearney and LN fans.

Looks like back to back Years the KC Metro area will be shut out. No State Champions. May not even have a KC team make the Championship game.
