Least desirable place to coach

They used to be competitive in youth and then get to HS and drop like a rock.
I'm not sure what the issue is there but have been told to avoid it like the plague.

I will give sherwood credit, last year their JV played the Freshmen from Belton and beat Belton 28-0 running two plays, ISO and Toss. Sherwood Played hard and played physical.

Man...What are they going to do with that space. Already had a pretty big building, right? I used to drive by it at least weekly.
I think three buildings. Selling the one out at the racetrack as well.
Funny thing is the new airport was being built for them and last year they announced zoom worked so well they expect to travel 70% less!

Lol. Even better. I much prefer flying from there than STL anyway. If they expand, but foot traffic doesn't...I'm in favor!

Not sure that is true. Their 94? team may have been one of the best 3A teams I’ve seen
The head coach of that team (Roger John) wasn't the head coach three years later. His replacement was gone after 98. His replacement (Steve Hopkins) lasted all the way til the 03 season (was 37-7 from 00-03 with two of those losses to Platte county in the quarters). Greg Jones was next for two years, then Mark Bliss for two. Par Pitts was there for 2, and his replacement lasted 3 before Coach Thomas took over. Its actually a great place to coach, but its a hard place to coach sometimes. Hop retired and went to Kansas, Greg to Kearney, Bliss to Ozark, Par to Camdenton as an Asst (his hometown). The turnover isn't entirely the environment, but there is something to that. My 4 years there with Hop were awesome, but they weren't without challenges

Mort Johnson had a mini-dynasty at Smith-Cotton fairly recently. Even just a couple of years ago S-C had a ten-win season with some creative scheduling…

Kearney. Too many hot moms running around. Don't need distractions during football season.

Would think a guy with the handle jcpasser12 might at least already have a solid answer to that question.
Don't see why it would be least wrong, that's why

I don't see why it would be least desirable place to coach. That's why I ask the question!

Winning in JC might be the problem. If having ok facilities is your goal then you’re good. If having a supportive administration to help you develop a solid program again is your goal you’re out of luck. This district has tons of issues and most of them start with administration. A place that was once a pretty appealing program to even be an assistant is now just a bump in the road on highway 50.
I don't see the big problem. That's why I asked the question.
