I was told by a reliable source that since Kennedy High school is closing
the Archdoeses is trying to keep smaller Catholic High school open so
there where 90 scholarships to Trinity offered to students who lived within the Mshsaa
guidelines of 35 miles of the private high school. They got some very good
athletes their basketball team is very good also.

Years ago the private school radius was 40 miles, then reduced to 25. Has the radius now changed to 35?

so knowing theses kids are on scholarship they most likely will return next year.
their skill players where frosh and soph.

For real?

In this defense of zip codes, STL is very well known for having a lot of different cities and municipalities. For example, I live in O'Fallon per my electric, but St. Peter's per my trash, and St. Charles for my gas. I pick up donuts in Cottleville 3 minutes from my house. This is not justification as I moved from the west side 3 years ago, just saying it isn't as crazy as it sounds.

voucher system is coming Look who Trump selected as Head of Education that is her
biggest stance. So there will be a lot of movement of athletes changing schools.

LOL it has nothing to do with the election of Trump or his pick for Head of Education, Missouri by electing Greiten's to Governor who supports vouchers will sign into law the voucher system if presented to him. Which will allow Vouchers in Missouri, he stated that before the election, it was only because of Nixon vetoing such measures in the past, that we don't have them already.

currently can kansas city and st louis school district kids go to a neighboring School District because they are unaccredited?

Im all for the voucher system. Your property tax is still going to the district where you live. But if you think one school is better than another why shouldnt we have that choice. Everyone says lets do whats best for the kids unless we are talking about school districts

I have always said I just hoped Lamar's run came to an end by losing to a better team and Lamar not beating themselves. I now have a another hope and that is the run doesn't come to an end by a recruited, arrogant bunch like last years Trinity team (the QB was awesome and seemed to be a great sportsman, hope he is back). Unfortunately I think this match up will happen in the semis next year.

Districts should be the same next year; we don't go to yearly re-districting until the year after.
District and Quarter match ups will be the same but they will continue the Semi rotation. The rotation is posted on the Mshsaa website through 2025. 1(Trinity) and 2 will play 3 and 4(Lamar) in the Semis. Unless they are changing this as well.

You do have that right. You can move there, or pay tuition. Which is exactly the way it should be if you want local school districts to survive.

D1 offers and scholarships are great for the next level, but until I hear about their lineman getting in the 1000lb club I probably won't lose too much sleep over next year

It's not like the game against Trinity was a run-away; Lamar has issues of their own to fix before next year (the center position, for sure...)

All of the talk was about their size but after re-watching the game it was their speed that kept Lamar contained. Lamar had 7-8 plays that would have been TD in every other game this season. If they are able to keep all of those kids they will have that speed back. I think Lamar will be OK speed wise next year but losing the experience in the secondary is a little scary against a team like that. Luckily the front 4 should be lights out to keep pressure on the QB.

If this rematch does happen, I'd say Lamar needs to score a lot more points to win the next meeting (just to be on the safe side, if nothing else...)

I don't say a lot, but I have a problem when you single out a kid like that. The kid had never played center before. He got put in that position shortly before that championship game when our regular center had to be replaced. I think he did a great job considering all of that.

They made it a point in the broadcast to report the fact that the kid had never snapped a ball before in his life prior to the semis, so it's not like anyone's saying it's his fault; it's just something that needs to be addressed...

All of that's fine and dandy but doesn't change the fact that the POSITION needs to be addressed. If the kid never played the position before, that obviously shows that center is a week spot.... relax a little. No one called the kid out. He said the position was a weak spot. And then you backed up that statement by saying the kid had never played the position.

It's all going to be okay.

Would you agree that due to the circumstances, the position was a weak spot in the championship game? Yes or no.
I would say no. You take a kid who made his first varsity start ever 6 days earlier, has snapped a football probably less than 400 times his entire life, and put him in a complicated offense with a 300 lb D1 recruit in front of him in the championship game, I would say he did a pretty good job. There are seniors who have been snapping for years at bigger schools who would have struggled in that game. It wasn't a perfect game but, I think he did an amazing job considering the circumstance. I doubt Bailey is losing much sleep over the center position.
