Moving to St. Joe for at least 3 years next year. I wouldn't mind a quad rotation with SEMO, Truman St, and Missouri St kinda like what Mississippi now does with North (Ole Miss/Miss St) and South (Southern Miss). Otherwise this is too far from center to lock in for 3 years while Faurot is renovated.

Weather in late November/early December is always a crap shoot in the Midwest, but St Joe can be a doozy. Not an ideal location for that reason and for travel. Coldest game I ever attended was a semi-final game at Staley and St Joe is another 45 mins north. Guess it is what it is, layer up!

UCM and Southwest Baptist are the obvious answers so those were the places not included.

Besides the quality of the stadium and the host's ability to schedule around the weekend, what factor does the community play in being the hosting site? Warrensburg and Bolivar are more centrally located, but you also have to factor in does the town have the hotel rooms and restaurants to handle a weekend like that? I haven't shopped hotel rooms in either town, I'm more throwing out a general factor in determining a host site.

I LOVE it but of course I live just 30 miles from MWSU so there is that........................:)

I suspect they both have a few hotels. Probably no different than St Joe or SEMO.

There are a couple more hotels in Bolivar since I graduated from there a couple decades ago, but I would still guess that most folks would stay in Springfield which is 25 miles away. Warrensburg has a few more and there are probably enough to make it work if you factor in Sedalia as well.

I always liked the dome on black Friday I would get up go to the stadium wife and kids go shopping stay all day in comfort enjoying the atmosphere. Best part was when local teams were there I would get field access because I was doing radio for the local station.

The rotation idea would be amazing every two years, but the facilities should be places to accommodate people who travel large distances. Venue in KC (CPKC Stadium on the River), STL (Dome, Wash U, or Lindenwood?), MO State, SEMO, CoMO.

However, I'd rather just play it all at Mizzou forever or UCM as a second option. However, as a KC person playing it at CPKC women's soccer stadium on the river would be amazing! Could fill up the whole lower bowl and some of the upper to watch great football from across the state.

The weather is going to be awful. I'm all for football being impacted by weather in most situations, but it possibly making a big difference in a title game is hard to swallow. It's the exact reason the super bowl is always played in a dome or good weather location.

SBU in Bolivar has no where near the seating capacity for state (Bolivar is one of those regular season away games you know you have to get to early due to limited guest seating)

I've been to some recent state title games and maybe it's just the perspective of being in a huge stadium but unless the SBU field has a really small capacity I wouldn't think that would be an issue

well all 130 webb fans left on the bandwagon would complain about the visitor seating even if it was held at the big house.

That just kinda seems like someone at MSHSAA said "I know a guy at NWMO, they will host for as long as we need" and someone else said "perfect" and that was all the effort that went into it.

For sure, but damn would it be cool! Mizzou is the perfect place to host. Middle, Middle-ish of the state but also a venue with plenty of space. Wish the games weren't stacked so on top of each other. Wonder if MSHSAA will ever have different sites for different class groupings.

Class 4, 5, 6 - Mizzou

Class 2, 3 - Mo State

8Man, Class 1 - UCM

8 man- NWMS
.5- UCM
2- SBU
3- Truman
4- SEMO
5- MSU
6- Mizzou

Then rotate classes yearly.

CMSU is actually nice.
SBU is on par with joplin but it's more central.
I disagree SBU is not as nice as many of the HS stadiums in the area. Its terrible doesn't even feel like a college stadium at all. Nixa, Ozark, Branson, Republic, and Waynesville all have nicer facilities than SBU. MSSU is big, but very out of date. However, at least it has that college feel.
