Lair flips commit from SIU to Missouri State

Just heard Lair on the radio saying one of the main reasons he is going to Missouri St. Petrino offered him a starting position at RB next year. It kinda surprised me. Was think more on the defense side.

I follow the Bears very closely. I can see him getting some carries next year, but that is going to be an uphill battle for him given the talent that they have already on the roster.

I dont know if Tobias Little is able to come back next year or if his eligibility is exhausted, but I known Latulas will return and he is a very good college back.

Myron Mason and Celdon Manning are also talented backs and should be back unless they intend to transfer. It's a loaded position for the Bears, but ultimately it will come down to who wins the job. Produce and you're going to get carries.

Lair interview, sounds like running back to me. I’m happy any West Plains kids makes it to this level. I think he will be a huge asset to any team he plays for.

Whatever position he plays, he will have to give more effort than he did at WP. Often times, he would literally do nothing but stand there or walk when the play was going away from him on offense. Say whatever you want, he knew he wasn't getting the ball, he was bored, whatever. You can't do that in college and get away with it. I think he would be a better defensive player at MO St., but he's good enough to do either.
