Poo beats nixa by 6 or so, they’ve really had Nixa’s number lately. Clark had a big game with like 25 but that was Nixa’s only focus on offense.

Poo did a great job of finding open cutters to the basket off of high screens. The help D of nixa wasn’t there

Now it’s Poo vs Republic for the district championship. I think republic wins that but it’s not a given. Poo is a really balanced team with different girls leading them in scoring each time out and they play well together for the most part. What they don’t have is that one girl who can go get a bucket when they need it, like Republic has with Bekemeier

The Nixa coach can’t wait to waste talent. That’s 14 losses in a row to Kickapoo. None of her girls get better. She gets handed talent year after year. How long until they have to fire her? A dead armadillo can win 20 with that roster. She spent all year force feeding Clark. When she needed a bucket from somebody else there wasn’t anybody. And it may have been 25, but it was gross. Well below 50% from the field. Got a ton of whistles to run her to the line.

She definitely forced it some but it was potentially her last game so she was gonna go down fighting. She narrowly missed a three that would have cut it to 3. If that goes in maybe it’s a different story.

But I agree that nixa should be better year in and year out given their talent

Have to agree with Baldoldman. Nixa wants to think of itself having a top tier athletic program but their girls basketball team has underachieved since the current coach took over in the 2013-2014 season. Nixa should have taken applications for the job when Middleton retired but they didn’t. Just handed it to the current coach.

Many of her players seem to get worse the longer they play for her. I will say Clark is the exception this year, I thought she had an excellent senior year.

When is the last time Nixa beat someone they weren’t supposed to? How many times has that happened since 2013-2014. How many times have the lost to someone they were supposed to beat during that same time period, several.

Nixa needs to move on

The thing is Nixa has more talent coming so they can still fix this for the future
