Finkle is Einhorn.I think it was the Webb kicker, so ejection won’t have any impact.

Does any of that mean he is a good football coach???My IQ is high enough to not be some nerd who never played a snap of varsity football to call out a coach from Webb that broke his neck actually playing football . Went to homecoming with his wife to take pictures . Then drive himself to the hospital. You are a stain on the program that has never been a part of it
Since the game was over and officials had left the field I don’t see how anyone could be ejected???? Maybe arrested for assault??Will that be an ejection situation I'm assuming?
Or maybe the coaching staff would do the right thing?Since the game was over and officials had left the field I don’t see how anyone could be ejected???? Maybe arrested for assault??
No it doesn't . But it shows how tough he is and how committed he is to this program . He is Webb City . We all hate these losses . I'm sure Ryan hates them even more . All but one of these games could have flipped if it wasnt for this or that . But they are really young and pretty beat up. If they aren't 7-2 or better at this point next year then I'll start to agree with youDoes any of that mean he is a good football coach???
Not sure but how many wins is that now for Joplin in the all time series officially?Have the eagles ever lost in cardinal stadium?
And I could still see them winning their district,,,,,the boys are playing hard. Losings not for lack of effortNo it doesn't . But it shows how tough he is and how committed he is to this program . Without looking it up I think Joplin leads the series 5-2 since joining the coc. No idea for all time. I think they played sometime around 1997 and Webb city won.Not sure but how many wins is that now for Joplin in the all time series officially?
The 97 game was an ass whipping.Without looking it up I think Joplin leads the series 5-2 since joining the coc. No idea for all time. I think they played sometime around 1997 and Webb city won.
It was a muddy rainy mess as well if I remember correctly. The 97 game was an ass whipping.
No. In 97, it was at Missouri Southern. On turf, no rain.It was a muddy rainy mess as well if I remember correctly.
Nixa JV got a lot of reps.Webb is the only team this season to score more than 14 against Nixa.
If you're looking for positives.
The COC is down. Not really sure how that equates to GV winning the district though. They’re about the same as the decent COC schools it seems. A decent football team, but nothing special. If the COC is down this year then Grain Valley should win the district with Webb and Carthage
Running game is solid. Passing not so much. Never know how inter-regional games will go but everything is on the line now regular season ends up being pretty much prep for what is to come. FWIW I still like Carthage in this one if a smidge. The COC is down. Not really sure how that equates to GV winning the district though. They’re about the same as the decent COC schools it seems. Webb City won 33-7 win in ’97 but Joplin beat Webb City in 1990 36-7.The 97 game was an ass whipping.
It was dry. Played at missouri southern. Hard to be a muddy mess on turf. LolThe 97 game was an ass whipping.
That's not gonna happenIf the COC is down this year then Grain Valley should win the district with Webb and Carthage
Always have to be spoiling a perfectly good storyIt was dry. Played at missouri southern. Hard to be a muddy mess on turf. Lol

Yep I remember 1990 well also. Webb boys in Columbia playing for a state title while Joplin boys practicing basketball as usualYes remember the 90 game as well. Lots of hype around south oronogo and joplin showed em who daddy was.
Dang…Webb went CBC??Webb City Player throws punch(s) as game ends. Police on the field. What a game.
Still doesn’t mean Joplin wasn’t better just because Webb city had an easier path to Columbia.Yep I remember 1990 well also. Webb boys in Columbia playing for a state title while Joplin boys practicing basketball as usual
I was at that 1990 State Championship Game. Sumner 36, Webb City 21Yep I remember 1990 well also. Webb boys in Columbia playing for a state title while Joplin boys practicing basketball as usual
Imagine a world where blinded is a Jasper honk instead of a WC pita. It’s Joplin’s fault they didn’t have an easier path to Columbia, the Dome, or wherever the title games were at for the last 40 years. Had they stayed being Memorial and Parkwood, Webb may never have developed the dynasty it had.
My god. Hurd got in the dudes face. No punches. Coaches seperated players before it got worse.Dang…Webb went CBC??
Seems to be something of a theme. Go back and watch the very end of the republic playoff game last year.My god. Hurd got in the dudes face. No punches. Coaches seperated players before it got worse.
The 1990 game was a fun one. First time we played on artificial turf.Webb City won 33-7 win in ’97 but Joplin beat Webb City in 1990 36-7.
Not sure where Jasper comes into this, unless you’re referring to the Joplin HC, and I imagine he could display quite a honk. The following was posted by @BearEagle back in 2018, and it shows how Memorial and Parkwood was each other’s pita:Imagine a world where blinded is a Jasper honk instead of a WC pita.
Did he do it then also? Kind of zoned out after the pick.Seems to be something of a theme. Go back and watch the very end of the republic playoff game last year.
I was on the Joplin 1990 team, we played 3 teams that made it to the finals that year...Yep I remember 1990 well also. Webb boys in Columbia playing for a state title while Joplin boys practicing basketball as usual
It was dry. Played at missouri southern. Hard to be a muddy mess on turf. Lol
There is no telling how or if things might be different if Joplin hadn't merged. Besides the merger there was also a legendary coach that retired. So it wasn't only the merger that changed. Not sure where Jasper comes into this, unless you’re referring to the Joplin HC, and I imagine he could display quite a honk. The following was posted by @BearEagle back in 2018, and it shows how Memorial and Parkwood was each other’s pita:
“Joplin schools won state titles in 75, 76, 77, 77, 78, 80, 83, 84
1977 or 78 Memorial won basketball and track
Parkwood state football runner up 1984
Parkwood 83 football champs also won1984 baseball title
Memorial football state champ in 76 (13-1) Parkwood went 10-0 that same season, yes Memorial lone loss Parkwood. If Missouri didnt have that stupid point system could have both Joplin schools won state titles in the same year. Parkwood Class 4 (largest class then) Memorial class 3.
Since the Eagles and Bears became one school, Joplin has played in 2 state title games the past 32 years, both in Baseball.”
Of course, Joplin did finally make it to a C6 football title game a year or so after that post, it’s still hard to wonder how different things would have been had the merger not taken place. Webb didn’t start making noise until the late 80s. The athletic talent of the area did seem to shift there post merger. Would Cat Johnson have kept his kids at Joplin if it was the two schools instead of the one large high school that seemed out-of-geographical place at the time?
It was a sandy mess for sure with that old awful turf.
Like sandpaper. It was a sandy mess for sure with that old awful turf.
Like sandpaper.
Me too, we held practice there that week before the 90 game, brutal looking carpet burn down the side of my shin and it still doesn't tan right to this day. It's hard to believe that football was allowed to be played on that stuff. I still have scars from it.
