Jefferson R-7 Hires....

It was made official last night at the board meeting (7-0) that Alex Rouggly, Assistant Football Coach and Head Boy's Track Coach from Hillsboro, Mo. will be the new R-7 Head Football Coach. He will be the Head Track Coach for both girls and boys, as well.

This is a great hire for multiple reasons, IMO. He is a local guy with family here, he came through the R-7 School District as a student (attending Herculaneum High School), and he is a younger coach with a lot of energy and passion for his job.

Just wanted to offer my public Congrats.

Alex is a good guy but I don't remember him being on the Hillsboro varsity staff last year. I thought he coached the Junior High football program last year at Hillsboro. Either way, good luck Alex.

He actually coached Junior High Basketball last year.

Alex was my freshman quarterback my first year at Herky. He's done well as a player and as an assistant. Congrats to him!!
