Is the top of 4A the top of MO football?

Could have been that early but I do absolutely remember the Winnetonka-Park Hill quarter man oh man what a game the Trojans were so fortunate to emerge from that one! Next round they won a higher scoring close one over aforementioned Belton. Again was RP's only "down" year they steamrolled the C5 field in 2004! Was so cool seeing them and C3 Harrisonville go back to back in the Dome huge crowds for both schools/towns showing out and rooting each other on!

Sorry folks could go on and on and on and on.......................just fortunate to have this memory the beer hasn't killed just yet LOL.
The semifinal game against Belton that you’re referring to, was that 04?
I went to a Glendale/Belton QF sometime around 04, could have been 03 or 05, so wondering if that’s the same team you saw

Serious question Top, is this group better than 03?
The D front seven I think is. The rest of the squad no especially offense. We will, I feel very safe saying, never see another offense like Benny and the Jets but I do like the power running game they have this year. If Kearney is going to stumble enroute to Columbia it will be because of the lack of a consistent passing game in my opinion.

I just finished watching Lutheran north beat CR… Wow what a game.

#7 can play for LN fast and electric!
LN is smaller than I thought and not as physical as I thought they would be.

CR is not the best football team I’ve seen this year….

I watched Kearney play north Kansas City and park hill and I told my wife I thought this was the most violent defense I’ve ever seen in my life in high school football all levels.

The speed in which plays break down at the dline is like watching one of those dream team college teams like Georgia route TCU the Kearney dline is big, violent and fast.

Kearney linebackers and safety’s are going to be a huge problem. #4 and # 19 are electric on the field and great football players #4 cleans up everything and has room to run and that looks the same way each and every game.

Kearney #1 and #2 are the two best Dlineman I’ve ever seen at getting off the ball and disrupting every play in high school. The violence these guys are bringing looks like they should be in a prison somewhere.

Kearneys QB can’t throw, if he throws vs LN he could go 5/10 with 5 ints. That’s the only liability I see on Kearney. #15 can’t even complete screen passes without it being a sht show.

I don’t know how LN moves the ball on Kearney and they do not play as hard. LN has better overall team speed but Kearney could turbo them if they don’t do anything stupid.

These are the two best teams in the state of MO but my money is on the best HS defense I’ve ever seen. My nephew coaches at PH and he said take it for what it’s worth that this Kearney defense could physically dominate any college D2 program and that #1,#2 and #4 had NFL strength today and would be 5stars if they weren’t slightly undersized.

The only other comment that stuck with me was “when you play the top 6a schools you have 1-2 seconds to do something vs Kearney plays instantly break down and there is no where to go with the football because they are dropping 7-8 players each snap”

Got my popcorn for playoffs !
I wanted Kearney to win, now after reading this I hope LN wins by 500

Class 3-4 perennial powers seem to rely more on great coaching/teamwork, etc. Disciplined, well executed football.

The big winners, especially in the private sector, seem to rely on a preponderance of talent.

As with anything, there are exceptions to this generalization.
