THE OZARKS
Or are they a lot of match-ups in Class 4 that could shake things up as far as the rankings go?

I know they're just rankings, but still

We've got Westminster v.s. Burroughs

Burroughs in #1 in Class 3 and one of Westminster's only losses last year 28-7. It's the only true test on Westminsters schedule this year. Or their toughest one at least.

Harrisonville v.s. Oak Grove

Oak Grove is #5 in Class 3, yes they're 5-1 and not undefeated, but they lost by 4 (34-30) last year against Harrisonville

West Plains v.s. Kickapoo

Kickapoo is #8 in Class 6, this is most likely going to decide the Ozark Conference championship, Kickapoo still has to play Lebanon, and I don't think Kickapoo has had to play a complete game this year in my opinion, don't get me wrong, they have played very well, but they usually put opponents away pretty early, so I see this game being a battle, because WP has played complete games with at least 5 guys sometimes more playing both ways all night, should be a good one

Kearney v.s. Platte County

Now I know that last year, they destroyed PC, and I have seen something about Platte County's all star QB going down, so I don't know how much of a contest this will be this year if he's out, but I do know that it's at PC so....may be a good game, but if that QB is out, more than likely this is way too big of a test, way too fast for a back-up

Just my thoughts, looks to be a good week of football all around the state with some prime match-ups and a few rivalry games.

I'm buying all of those at least a little except Kearney-Platte County. I think Kearney wins easily.

I know very little about Oak Grove this year but my gut feeling is H-Ville wins a pretty competitive game.

Westminster seems to be the pick for the best Class 4 team in the East bracket but I think John Burroughs gets the W.

West Plains has been impressive this year and they probably should be ranked in top 3-4 right now by merit but I think Kickapoo wins by 7-10. The almost certain Carl Junction-West Plains district semifinal match-up should be a very good one.

Kearney will destroy PC, PC QB is OUT. It would have been a little closer if her were playing, but not much. Kearney rolls in this one.

My proposal for class 4 district 5 semifinals: a doubleheader at MSU in Springfield. Noon start for CJ vs West Plains, followed by Webb City vs Bolivar. Pack the stadium. Shorter drives for all. Brings in neutral observers as well. The gate, the concessions, tshirt sales, would be huge! Lets make it a trial run for mshsaa to consider for future years.

I do not think you would get 25 casual fans from Springfield to attend those games.

Sounds great, except West Plains has earned homefield advantage in all but the district championship. So now instead of homefield advantage in semis, they have to drive 100 miles 1-way? give me a break.

Let's just call it what it is, regardless of the drive, nobody wants to play WP at home.

I think CJ did just fine there last year...

Fun ideas often are not executed because of selfishness from somewhere.

The concept I propose is actually the way mshsaa handles basketball, to a degree. No home court advantage because of regular season records. Site selected and all district teams play there. Great for the fans.

I will say it! We will drive to West Plains to play! The only benefit formyounis not having the long drive home in the losers bus!

CJ? Don't talk badly about them, they are pushing everyone around, there was even a hogs article in the globe on how they dominate upfront and have been pushing class 4 teams arou.......never mind! Go East Newton!!

I'm pretty sure that no one was talking bad about CJ?

As always Oak Grove needs to defend the pass. Harrisonville needs to not turn the ball over. Last year I believe Harrisonville won by a comback, but also turned the ball over 6 times. Harrisonville probably should have won by at least 2 touchdowns minus the turnovers.
