Intradistrict open enrollment

So the Vashon/Mexico playoff basketball game got me thinking. Clearly Vashon pulls the best from within STLPS otherwise there wouldn’t kbe such a gap for the last 60+ years from them and the other STLPS.

1. How many school districts have open enrollment within the district. (Obviously ones that have 2 or more High schools)?

2. Should they be subject to some sort of championship factor?

There are definitely schools districts that could build some absolute powerhouses.

I’ll have to look it up when I have time but I believe there is a bill that passed the house that specifically talks about intradistrict open enrollment

With high schools it’s for 9th grade or new to the district. Elementary and middle school they have an process for transfer

STLPS NKCSD Springfield are the ones I can think of - Im sure there is more

Lee's Summit already has that. At least five players from LSN have moved over to Lee's Summit to be with the new highly successful coach from the great state of Colorado that kicked butt last year.

No joey they do not have Intradistric enrollment. LSN was a habitual recruiter pulling kids from anywhere in LS and also pulling in Grandview and raytown talent. My guess is now that the particular lsn coach is gone they just moving back home.

When Lee's Summit West was the chosen school, the LS School district did an audit. Several players were listed at an apartment address that was vacant. A little bird told me.

it takes 0 effort to look this up on a district website

i know you think everyone gets the correct way like those 2 dowling catholic boys just up and moving junior year but they recruit harder at the high school level in KC than most colleges do

None of this can be true Cards! I have been told numerous times public schools don’t recruit, only privates do!
