Indiana only played 1 ranked team the whole year, Ohio State, and they got blown out. Beginning next year the selection committee has got to take strength of schedule more of a factor in selection to CFP. South Carolina played 6 ranked teams this year and went 3-3 against them. They won their last 6 games to finish 9-3. South Carolina was a much more deserving team to be in the CFP.

Honestly this is the bullshit we all said would happen. We all asked for more teams so we wouldn't have to hear about how a possible national champion was left out at the 5 spot. However we all knew all this would do is change who the whiner is. Instead of 5 now it's 13.

Do away with conference title games and auto bids. SOS needs to be bigger data point as well. Expand to 14 or 16.
No no no not expand. Unless you want it to be like basketball with an 8 week regular season and then a 64 team playoff or 7 week and a 128 team playoff.

Otherwise leave it alone Noone not in the cfp would be considered top 4 which is what the 12 team was to fix

I have it on good authority they will expand eventually.

Indiana can't help it if they play in the Big 10..!

The committee apparently didn’t look much at SOS. Indiana’s was 67 and they were seeded 10th. Boise St had the 78th ranked SOS and they got a 3-seed and a bye.

Boise got a bye because they won their conference, which I don’t think they should get a bye. Penn State basically got two byes to the Final 4. Whoever gets the byes should be based on best 4 teams, not because you win a mid-major conference championship, like Boise and Arizona State

16 teams. No byes. The Power Conferences will never agree to no automatic berths for conference champs.
Even though none of the first round games were close I liked the concept. Expanding to 16 does make sense but let's see what the extra week of rest does for the top 4 in neutral bowl sites NYE and Day.

The first round games are just like some of the bowl games of years prior. However alot of the fan bases are more engaged with the playoff system.
