Count me as dim, dude is a serious jerk, and there hairdo has to be the worst in MLB, especially when it's rolled up. I would not want to watch him all year long.

I don't think anyone is saying we shouldn't spend and go get more talent (at least not me! but he is going to be way overpriced after their playoff run.)
I'd rather not go the Chick Hicks route. I want to be proud of my team, not write off criticism of having classless players.
When you take half measures out of fear of making a big mistake on big ticket items you end up with Fowler and Cecil so you still lose. They hit with Miles. The only thing that matters are wins. Thy seem to be running the program as if they are chasing the last wildcard spot instead of the division and have now failed 3 years running. It's time to chase the division and not the wild card.

Machado checks about every box for the Birds needs. And seems to be an extremely huge prick. I suppose if you had a strong leadership group, it wouldn't be a huge concern. Of course, if you're familiar with the 86 Mets, late 70s/early 80s Yankees, or a ton of other professional sports teams, huge pricks can win titles too. All that said, I'd rather sign Harper and flip JMart, Ozuna, and a young arm if needed to find IF help. It could be a 3B, SS, or 1B really. An OF of O'Neill, Bader, and Harper would be solid. Harper and whomever you get in return would form a nice 1-2 punch somewhere in the middle.

Like I said, punchers chance. Which is very low, admittedly. But higher than Manny. For the record, I think Machado is the better player and fits better. But, there's that whole snowball's chance thing. Basically, I hate Ozuna. Love JMart, but understand his skillet probably needs to be in the AL and he's got value. And would love to see some athleticism at one of the IF corners.

Looks like a few of us on here are not alone saying we don't like Machdo for his antics. At least one team with the money to compete for his services has said they are no longer interested. The article didn't say which one but that it could be the Philles, another speculation is the Dodgers won't be in the hunt to keep him around.
No one to blame but himself. I feel the same way about him as I do Harper: don’t care for either guy, but could learn to like them in a Cardinal uniform if they come in, be quiet, behave and just do their job. I don’t ask for much, do I?

Funny thing about baserunning is you have to reach base to do it.
It doesn't do much good to get on if you screw up the base running part AND have an attitude. I thought we had all enough of that.
You have watched him for 15 minutes and made a judgment based on that. To quote Neutron.....sample size.
I don't have to like him if I don't want to. He likely cost himself a lot of money because of his antics and poor production in the post season. That is not MY judgement, I read it in an article about the free agent market.
Regardless of what the article said, I'm not sure I believe that. Just like everything else on the open market for consumers, all you need is two parties that want him. And I'd be willing to bet there will be at least two teams competing for his services.
Didn't say any such thing, but he did turn a few heads, the wrong way, so their just may not as many bidders as there could have been if he didn't act like he did.
