Again I will never pick against Lamar but I did see Lutheran North.
They played number 1 ranked class 2 school in Indiana won 39 to 21
Like all Lutheran North teams they make mistakes but oh my the team
speed is off the charts. Their lineman are huge strong and quick. Perkins
number 3 ranked player in missouri and 97th in nation is 6'4 275 runs a
4.6 has 41 offers , he was incredible Mater Dae a power in Indiana had 14 yards
rushing. They had a couple all state lineman that had no chance against perkins.
Their pass coverage is their biggest weakness. On offense they rushed for 290 yards
One back is going to Southeast Missouri and the other to IL. The third back is only a Junior
Their receivers are all fast and the transfer from Vashon got good size. I saw Trinty at
Jamboree I see no way they beat North unless North which they can makes a lot of
mistakes. Their line play is far superior to Trinty. North plays a 5-2 one inside line backer
going to Bowling Green he is very good and the other is a soph. I have seen North play
for 20 years this is the best team they have ever had. They never have a kicker but this year
they have a kid I am guessing off the soccer team that was kicking to the end zone but is
not a good punter. They will have much better talent than Lamar BUT coaching will be the difference.

Lutheran North is loaded this year. In terms of player rankings, they have the #1 DE (Ronnie Perkins), #1 LB (Devin Ruffin) and #1 RB (Donovan Marshall) in Missouri. Perkins hasn't given a verbal commit but Ruffin committed to Bowling Green and Marshall committed to Arkansas State.

District show down between Trinity (they are for real) and Lutheran North should be good!

Question:
How does a Lutheran school get off calling themselves "The Crusaders"?
I've always wondered about this...

Always thought that too ha. We played up there and they dealt us our only loss of the regular season in 2002. They were BIG. And it was hot down in that dust bowl.

There's an entire regular season to be played, but the only games that really "count" are once Districts starts. Trinity or Lutheran North will have to go through Cardinal Ritter to get to the District Championship Game ... so it'll be a crucible for whoever makes it out of District 2 in Class 2. Ritter and Trinity play one another in Conference play, so it'll show how the Top 3 teams in the District compare. Lutheran North plays the tougher regular season schedule of the 3 and both Trinity and LN will play JBS before Districts. Ritter next 2nd, in terms of schedule strength, but Trinity is Trinity, even though their schedule is soft. We'll see what's what from Week #10 and beyond. The first 9 games is just "pre-season" in Missouri High School Football.
