Win this Friday, and they are the #1 seed in District 8, Class 5. Slow start. Butt kicked by Kearney. Injuries. But here we go...back to the top.

Oak park looks like a pretty physical bunch so this Friday should be a tossup.Win this Friday, and they are the #1 seed in District 8, Class 5. Slow start. Butt kicked by Kearney. Injuries. But here we go...back to the top.
Good good stuff here! As for Platte county #9 is now being used on offense seems to be helping. They really need the senior wideout back to make noise in my opinion.Looks like a great game this week. Oak Park's coach has to be in consideration for coach of the year as well as Minnick and Wilmes.
Class 5 in KC is hard to figure out this year.
Fort's weakness is the playcalling at times and maybe the secondary (Fenner has been coming in at CB lately though). They have 5 potential D1 players on the field between offense and defense. Runs between the tackles on first and second downs isn't going to surprise anyone in the playoffs. They always seem to open up the playbook if they get down. Be nice if they could play from in front come the playoffs. Biggest difference between this team and last year's team in terms of points is they all figured out not to kick it to Fenner.
Does anyone know anything about Platte County? Are they going to be healed up, did they have people quit? They are dangerous if they get back to the way they were in Week 1 & 2.
NKC has lots of talent, but very undisciplined. Their offensive line is their weak point. Their defense is very athletic and has Alabama and Oklahoma bound athletes. If they can keep their emotions in check and not get flags they are a threat.
I don't know enough about Oak Park, but have watched their games on YouTube. They look solid and disciplined. I love a good turnaround story. Kearney wasn't a surprise, but OP and BSS were great surprises this year.
All 4 of those teams are going to be playing rematches from earlier this year or last year's district championship.
One thing for certain is Grain Valley has the easiest path to sectionals of any team in the state. Astonishing how bad that district is. The 3 seed will have 3 wins!
Who are these 5 potential D1 kids you are talking about?Looks like a great game this week. Oak Park's coach has to be in consideration for coach of the year as well as Minnick and Wilmes.

Menne (QB) and Fenner (WR/CB/KR) both have offers. I think Drinkwitz came to watch them along with some others last week. Flew in on a helicopter at halftime. The good life.Who are these 5 potential D1 kids you are talking about?

The one that doesn't show up on anyone's radar except those that follow Fort is the senior defensive tackle, Brock Bransteitter. 6'3 330lb. Planning for him has to be a nightmare. Moves extremely well for a man that size. I've heard he might have to go the JUCO route before he can go D1. I'm not sure how he hasn't been picked up by a Power5 unless it is the grades issue. Watching him go against Logan Reichert was fun.
Eventually I'd say Ryver Peppers (RB) and Anthony Thompson (LB) who are both stud sophomores. A little early, but they have both been excellent at all levels. Wonder if Thompson gets roped back into playing QB like his brother. Hope not, he is a very good LB. Just my opinion. Like I said, ""potentially".
BTW, What are the rules these days to be eligible for D1? I thought I heard they were dropping the ACT after Covid?

The past is the past. Enjoying the ride this year.Geez...Kearney had a six man front last year with 3 D1s on it. The one that is at Tulane now. The Tackle that has 6 offers and the TE that has seven D1 offers. And that coach took them to 5-5. What a genius offensive mind.
