St. Louis most likely will have 3 class 5 teams in Columbia this year. Webster appears to be the only lock with CBC being very close to locking in a final four birth. Chaminade must defeat Erwin Claggett and his SLUH Jr. Bills @ SLUH. I don't think Frank Bennett and Chaminade can defeat the Jr. Bills in the finals of district 8 @ SLUH however the margin is really to close to call.

The winner of class 5 district 8 ( Chaminade or SLUH ) then becomes a co favorite with Jay Blossom's and his Webster Groves Statesmen to win the state championship.

I'm guessing Springfield Kickapoo will be the final team to punch their ticket for the final four providing the " Tournament of Champions " tournament in Springfield does not destroy their confidence.

RU and others, in your opinion, am I spot on with the above post?

Ya know Metro, whether people love ya or hate y I enjoy your posts. You opinion differs from mine from time to time but I think your spot on here.

I feel Kickapoo is still highly favored to punch their ticket for Columbia. The T of C will add great experience to their season again this year. I don't think it will hurt their confidence. We are honored to play the quality of teams that are In the tourney this year.

With that said, the T of C will be fun this year. But there is a reason you play the game, anything can happen and anyone can win.

Swishmeyer will be attending the first two days of the tournament. The St. Louis Eagles AAU team organizer will be with the Swish.

Prep Nation and BallisLife FAB 50 have FOUR of the eight T of C teams in their respective Top 10!

I don't think we've ever had that occur in the 33-year history of the event. Not to mention another one is listed as being in the Top 25.

Should be a great tournament!
