Frank Haith has had a rocky start to his coaching career with
the University of Missouri.? On Sunday, he took a huge step toward
endearing himself to Tiger fans earning a verbal commitment from one of the top
prospects the Show-Me State has to offer.

Raytown South sophomore forward

Ishmail Wainright visited campus with 6-foot-8 inch power forward
Tyrek Coger, who earlier committed to the Tigers.? "This weekend was great
(at Mizzou)", commented Wainright who visited with the staff following his visit
to Columbia.? "I came on campus thinking that it's not going to happen and
when I got there, it was like they announce that I was coming!? The fans
showed me made love!"

In addition to an adoring crowd in Columbia, Wainright is
excited about the facilities and new Tiger staff.? "The new coaching staff
is amazing!", commented the Raytown South star.

Wainright, a 6-foot-6 inch, 210-pound power forward had a solid sophomore season
and was selected No. 14 in the MOsports.com Super 50.? A Rivals.com 4-star
prospect,? Wainright currently holds offers from Arkansas, Baylor,
Oklahoma, Texas, Syracuse, UCLA and others.

Wainright and the talented Cardinals finished 20-6 this season. "He's a great
rebounder and passer that knows how to finish", commented South head coach Brad
Oestreich.? "Very long, scores off the dribble, sees the floor well, but must
improve his stroke from the perimeter as he advances through school", adds one
scout.

All-conference and all-district as both a freshman and a sophomore, Wainright
makes the most of his 7'2" wing span and basketball body.?

On the court Wainright had a solid sophomore season averaging 13.6 points, 9.8
rebounds per game for the Cardinals. The talented forward did most of his damage
in the paint, connecting on 50% from the field, including 20% from beyond the
arc (7/35) this season.
