Go with 11 pitchers, take Jay, Pham and Grichuk.

It's a five game series with days off. Do you really need more than 11 pitchers?

Greg Garcia has made some errors. Will Kozma be on the roster?

It's impossible to know. I hope they get all 3 games in this weekend I really think they need these games to help with their evaluations.
10 pitchers
1 Lackey 2Garcia 3 Wacha 4 Lynn 5 Rosie 6 Siegrist 7 Maness 8 Broxton 9 Chisik 10 Lyons
Birds will choose to keep at least 11 Maybe 12 Chaote and Belisle
14 Bats 1 Carp 2 Grichy 3 Holiday 4 Jhonny 5 Heyward 6Pisscotty 7Wong 8 Cruz 9 Reynolds 10 Pham 11Adams 12 Garcia 13Bourjos 14 Easley

I left Yadi off because I don't believe he is going to make it back. If he does Bourjos would be off and they would have to carry 3 catchers because of potential injury risk to Yadi!

My prediction is they will keep at least 11 pitchers see above.
Jay will be on the roster.
MM drives me crazy with moves like this, but I remain a big supporter of MM

Taking 12 pitchers is nuts with that many off days + you're not going to use 5 different starters.

When you get to selecting the end of your bench, a good team thinks about adding skill sets that augment their core roster. It's not about taking the best overall player; it's about building the best overall team. For example, do you want a pinch runner? Do you want a defensive backup like Kozma? Do you want a sub for Holliday or Grichuk in case they get hurt? Etc.

Yadi and Piscotty are the wildcards in terms of health. Their ability to play affects your roster pretty meaningfully

Koz makes it. He's been on the 25 man all year I believe, why leave him behind now? Sure he can't hit a beach ball with a tennis racket, but if an infielder were to go down he's the best defensive replacement IMO.

Bourjos has been on the roster all year. So?

Like I said, I'd carry Koz in case an infielder goes down and I believe defensively he's a better replacement than Garcia. PB is good defensive option, however I think there are better options that will help in the "grand scheme" of things than PB. I also don't think Broxton should be carried, he has a tendency to give up the big fly and I don't trust him any further than I can throw him. I'd rather carry Harris or Socolovich. However, I don't make millions to make such decisions

He's probably more valuable in the playoffs than in the regular season
