One of the more intriguing matchups coming up next week. Branson obviously the real deal but the SOS isn’t there, meanwhile Glendale has gotten better and better as the season has moved along and is by far the most improved from season start to season end in the COC.

Winner gets Repmo, or at least I’d hope so considering their matchup

All we have heard all season is Branson cant compete with the COC schools.
Why else would they have tucked tail and ran away? Oh, maybe because it’s a prettier drive to West Plains instead of Nixa.

Okay yes, on paper Branson’s going to win. Am I calling for an upset? Absolutely not. But I’m definitely saying Glendale has found their identity and Frank Tristan will have his team as ready as they can be. You let Glendale replay their season with the amount of confidence they have right now, they’re a 4-5/5-4 team instead of 2-7. Branson’s also a 4-5/5-4 team if they play a COC schedule. We can’t forget they wanted out of the COC so they can finally claim success in their bs Mickey Mouse conference.

I give Branson 0 credit

Branson obviously the real deal
Branson is a C5 team that's 9-0 with what amounts to a trash C3 schedule. That doesn't make them "the real deal". Just means they've done about what any C5 team with half of a pulse should do on that schedule. What's their best win? An average 5-4 (regular season) Camdenton team whose best win is Hickman or Jeff City??? Branson might prove they're the "real deal", but they've got a long way to go to prove that. More likely what happens is they beat a really bad Glendale team and then get curb stomped by REPMO. Then they're about what everyone thinks they are, a maybe middle of the road C5 football team that won a bunch of games against really bad C4 (mostly) teams.

6 point game going into the fourth. Glendale stayed with them until the last few drives. Definitely not a blowout. Thank you very much and we’ll wave goodbye to the Pirates next week.

Well RepMo gave up 4 TDs to Hillcrest tonight so I’m not sure the Tigers are going to beat down the Pirates like you think they are. Branson is night and day better than Hillcrest and that’s coming from someone who has been following Hillcrest all year and sat in the stands with their fans rooting for them.

If you followed Hillcrest that closely than you would know that the touchdowns given up tonight were all passing plays, something that Branson doesn’t do much, and with two or three on Republic’s JV. It was 41-0 before Hillcrest scored on a broken down coverage with 9 seconds before half. I don’t think Branson did that in their game against Hillcrest.

I wasn’t at the game tonight smartass. I was watching Fair Grove/Thayer.

So no, I actually didn’t know that. Glad to know Hillcrest could score on the mighty RepMo Tigers though.

I actually hope Branson wins so you can stfu.

Even if Repmo loses there’ll still be some COC teams alive so I’ll still be kicking it and pissing you off

What? I thought it was a lock? A for sure deal. A RepMo beat down coming to Branson right? Already backtracking.
Regardless of who wins, we know what kind of person you are now.
Yup, I’m just the type of person that can make an old head mad as hell for informing them that a JV defense gave up some TDs.

Moving on, I’ll see you in my weekly post that nobody likes next week.

Branson shut Hillcrest out 49-0 I believe. I'm sure their JV was also in at some point. Perhaps their JV is just better in pass coverage than Republic's. Regardless, this matchup should be a good one with the slight edge (in my opinion) going to Republic. You know both teams have foreseen this matchup from the moment the district assignments were released, so it will no doubt be a battle of gameplans. Also worth noting that Republic only beat Branson by 10 last year.

If you saw the game, Branson was never in any real danger. They did not punt the entire night. They gave up some big pass plays, but even when Glendale got the score a little closer you never got the sense that they were going to win the game.
