former Springfield HS player appealing eligibility at Liberty HS

You would think MSHSAA would just let the kid play for 6 to 8 weeks rather than dig in so that the state legislature gets involved.

I admit that I dont understand MSHSAA rulings, some times. But when I step back and look at it, its almost a no win situation. In this case had he been deemed eligible. We would be seeing complaints the other way. I am 100% sure there would be a thread on this board questioning how they could come to that decision.

Idk about that last part. From my understanding, everyone agreed it was a better move. Old coach, old AD, old principal, new coach, new AD, new principal, even the judge back in the summer. It only became a problem when MSHSAA stepped in, after (I didn’t see any stats but I saw him on the sidelines in full uniform) he plays an entire football season without any opposition. It looks like it’s everybody vs MSHSAA, more specifically, a deciding vote from an AD (maybe some other prominent position) from the NKC school district.
