Football is returning to Doniphan

There has been many posts on facebook and links to KTVS in Poplar Bluff that football is returning to Doniphan. If I read correctly it has been 30 years since the school had football. They have to raise I think 400,000 in the next 4 years to get it done, and have been building from the bottom up with their youth programs there. Congrats to them, Forsyth, and any others who are fixing to add football.

I do not know when they plan on cycling in (I dont know anyone there, just heard the news and wanted to share) or if they plan on joining any conferences. They should be a big C2 or small C3 school when the time comes

If Doniphan starts its program back, the Dons should be in Class 3. I would think they would try and gain admittance into the SEMO Conference and get into one of its divisions. I guess they could try for the SCA as well. Wherever they end up (if the program starts back), there will be some long, hilly bus rides to and from.
