Football back in the Dome

Mentioned already, but XFL announces today that they will be playing in the Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis starting in 2020. I would imagine we see a return of the state title games to the dome as early as next fall as well.

Founded 1999 Ceased 2001. How long this time? Long enough for one state championship?

I have a feeling the XFL will do better this time around...
I think spring football can carve out a decent niche spot. Lots of football/baseball fans out there that really don’t care for basketball. Also except to see some kind of AAF/XFL merger at some point. NFL will still be king and their ratings are back up big time this year.

I wonder why???

Formula for XFL success. Take the NFL rules further:

1) Only allow 10 players to play defense.
2) Stiffen the calling of pass interference even more...get with 1 ft. of the receiver past 10 yards - penatly.
3) 30 yard penatly for roughing the passer.
4) Roughing the passer: Get within 1 ft of the QB.
5) Allow all receivers to be in forward motion.
6) Lower time to 12 min quarters, running clock.

Typical Score: 77 to 65.

Hate to break to all you east siders, but the dome and everything around it is a shit hole.
Dont worry you didnt break news to us with this. But Still me and 2.8 million people would rather live here then SWMO, or other rural areas were the whole town gets dressed up Saturday nights to take a Walmart trip.

Wait a minute....I love StL and would rather live there than anywhere else in the state, HOWEVER, there are countless rural and outlying areas of our state that are fantastic places with great people. Generalizing people and places outside of the StL and KC metros really just makes you look foolish.

I like both, too, but there is some truth to it. There are a lot of backwards areas full of backwards people. Most of the state, in fact.
