Looks like we're in for a couple more weeks of the trial that most of America don't care about. I honestly thought they would vote today, which will be pretty much along party lines without 17 GOP senators voting for impeachment. Everyone knows how this will end eventually. Americans are tired of politics. Heck, Mosports posters are tired of politics.

Guess it’s over???
Yeah only 57 votes to convict. It was a done deal all along, many of the pub senators wouldn't even pay attention to what was going on in the room. I still don't understand how it's legal for 'jurors' in the trial to discuss strategy with Trump's lawyers, they signed an oath to be impartial. Apparently an oath means nothing to many who are supposed be leaders this country.

Mc Connell's speech after the conclusion of the trial was quite damning to Trump...

Yeah too bad he didn't have the gumption to vote guilty when he obviously thinks that's the case. He could have brought enough along with him to 67 votes. He just wanted to pass it off to the legal system rather than do his constitutional duty like he swore he would do.

I think the politicians want nothing to do with it because the same thing could be used against them.

Yeah you are already seeing some Pubs talking about impeachment of some of the Dems. And right now all the pubs who voted how they felt was right are being censored by thier own party, just for doing what they believed was right something many of us want them to do, not just vote party lines.
I never knew one man was more powerful than God, but I guess in many Pubs eyes Trump is thier Lord and savior right now and can do no wrong. I just don't understand it he isn't even a true conservative.

And he has no morals.

Bullitpdq68 I agree. It is really sad what some of the states are doing. It's just sad.
