How about a little high school football talk?
Not counting your home stadium, where is your favorite high school field to visit?

News says the new bleachers will be in the same location, built similar construction to the home side. Concrete pad, aluminum bleachers. If you liked the old aluminum seating, plan to attend a few baseball games. The old seating will replace the wooden seating at the baseball field.Seneca. Hope they didnt ruin that environment with the upgrades
Seneca, its a great environment and if you have ever been to a big game there when there were a lot of people around the field standing in addition to the stands being so close, it is pretty awesome.Seneca, with no track around the football field the opposing bleachers are very close to the field. Easier to hear the coaches and players exchanges during the game. Like the totem pole in the end zone.
Totem pole? The Seneca were part of the Iroquois Nation and several thousand miles away where totem poles were made. They did later have totem poles to draw (put in appropriate adjective here) tourists to their "authentic" (appropriate adjective) shops.Seneca, with no track around the football field the opposing bleachers are very close to the field. Easier to hear the coaches and players exchanges during the game. Like the totem pole in the end zone.
I would have to agree. Burlington Field in Brookfield is an amazing place, when we visit it seems like their is something special in the atmosphere.I like Burlington Field in Brookfield....it has a lot of character!!!
As cool as Ozarks press box looks it is a gigantic wast of space. Very little working pace. Very easily could have been a two levels to accommodate press better.Ozark. I like their brick press box, looks like a mini version of some that you see at the college level. Good seating on the home and away sides, and it sits down at the bottom of the valley which offers a cool view from the visitors side.

As a player it was fun to play in Seneca, even though I agree, the surface was not great. But as a coach I absolutely hate going to Seneca! Too many coaches in the stands can voice their opinions to easily there!Personally, I dont get the love affair with Seneca. The playing surface is probably the worst in the Big 8. I know the seating is getting redone and it needed to because i had heard that the visitor section was on the verge of being condemned. I don't like the long walk through the Seneca faithful back and forth to the locker room. That can get a little hairy at times. The totem pole is cheesy.
I know guys that absolutely love to go there. Then there are people like me. I just dont get. I have been a part of big games there, but i dont feel like the environment at the big game was any better there than any other Big 8 school.
I will say the Dancing Indian they have come out before the game is pretty sweet.
But I am sure it is at least an "authentic" Seneca dance.I will say the Dancing Indian they have come out before the game is pretty sweet.
Yeah, never been to Lamar, but it compares favorably with Kearney and Webb. Maryville? Not at all in the same category.EXCELSIOR SPRINGS is a beautiful stadium. They probably spent more on landscape blocks than most class 1, 2, 3 schools have spent on entire stadium. If that were Webb, Kearney, Lamar, Maryville etc. would probably be winner winner....
Rufus, I just meant in terms of consistently winning.Yeah, never been to Lamar, but it compares favorably with Kearney and Webb. Maryville? Not at all in the same category.
New visitors seating ready for fall football this year.I like Junge stadium, I like the old WPA concrete bleachers the history of it, but yet how they have really made nice improvements to Junge over the years and lots of seating.
I like Seneca based on the fact that there is no track, but let's be real seating is horrible, and come later in the year if there has been any rain the field is in terrible shape.
I like Ozark and Branson how they are cut into the earth Neosho is pretty neat the way the home side is in the hillside.
The dancing Indian has graduated. He is the Grandson of a tribal Chief. But I am sure it is at least an "authentic" Seneca dance.
Heya! Hia! How are youa? But I am sure it is at least an "authentic" Seneca dance.
Willard, solely for their funnel cakes!
I really like Carrollton. They have an amazing pork burger as well!
On a side note, does anyone know if Knob Noster still has the unfinished bleachers? I remember them having the concrete slab but never installed the bleachers.
