I do believe Fair Grove has some farm kids too.
In fact I know for sure.
Ampipe thought the same thing but that was tough steel mill boys. And we all know how that turned outTough farm boys > entitled rich boys. Lamar gives them their first real competition for the year and wins districts.
Agreed. Lamar = tough farm boys for sure.Tough farm boys > entitled rich boys. Lamar gives them their first real competition for the year and wins districts.
The last tough kid to come through there was the one that used horse tranquilizers to finish his senior year.I do believe Fair Grove has some farm kids too.

Fg receivers are a matchup problem at 6'5, both of them. Good hands and speed. Rb is good, that being said Lamar's schedule and physicality will be difference. Should be good game, Lamar wears them down as game goes on.Fair Grove is athletic, but they remind me of Strafford of about 5 years ago or so. Really talented, but just not physical enough. Granted Lamar is not that 2014 Lamar, But this Fair Grove is not the 2014 Strafford either. I think Lamar takes this one.
Lamar by 14 +. - Off-topic, If Lamar wins by 14+ then I think our district "scoring system" needs to be tweaked. If one analyzes Lamars 7-2 schedule and FG 8-0 schedule there is really no comparison. I was surprised Lamar could not gain but maybe 1 total point with a win over Class 3 Cassvile while FG did not even play. So the first thing that I suggest is to word it, "Points divided by 9 games", rather than "points divided by the total number of games". Just my opinion. Congratulations and good luck to both (ALL) teams. Well, all teams except private schools. NoBiasHere.![]()
I don’t care if they have Wilt Chamberlain and Dikembe Mutombo lined up as their number 1 and number two wide outs. Tough country boys that play hard nose football in one of the best conferences in football will always beat Springfield suburb doctor’s kids who’s most adversity they’ve ever faced is choosing a 2018 Dodge Ram or 2014 Hummer.Fg receivers are a matchup problem at 6'5, both of them. Game will be won in the trenches more than likely. Size doesn't mean anything unless you get time to make those needed throws.Fg receivers are a matchup problem at 6'5, both of them. Did Fair Grove every get new field? Was there in 2008 for semifinal game. Field was so uneven.
Are these posts about Fair Grove kids being spoiled rich kids serious?I don’t care if they have Wilt Chamberlain and Dikembe Mutombo lined up as their number 1 and number two wide outs. “Of course I’ll pick the Hummer over a Dodge, but JEEZE. If you’re going to offer a 2014 I GUESS I’ll settle for the Ram...”

Rural values of hard work, respect for adults, responsibility, and humble action on the field certainly characterize this team,

Yes but you lose the plus 10 for playing a game which would automatically cost you a point so when it comes to your average not playing a game is considered worse than a lossLamar by 14 +. - Off-topic, If Lamar wins by 14+ then I think our district "scoring system" needs to be tweaked. Why should a team be penalized for playing 8 games, when only 5 is required to qualify for the postseason? Totally disagree here.Lamar by 14 +. - Off-topic, If Lamar wins by 14+ then I think our district "scoring system" needs to be tweaked. Unless I am mistaken, that is not how it works. They played 8 games and won all 8 so they got the full 20 points for their win/loss record. Had they played and lost they would have only finished with 18.888 for their win/loss record.Yes but you lose the plus 10 for playing a game which would automatically cost you a point so when it comes to your average not playing a game is considered worse than a loss
Cards was kind enough to post on here the formula once already but i'm pretty sure a loss is better than not playing though I could be wrongUnless I am mistaken, that is not how it works. If the QB has a little time I think FG will be able to throw on Lamar. Their pass defense is a little suspect, but they will have to block well and I think Lamar's size and physicality will overcome that in the end.
Oh calm down Stef. I'm just doing what we Doc Guys do best. Give each other crap!ouch... getting a little personal now Shoot.
FG just doesn’t play anyone. They played a solid Buffalo squad, but they had some key players out in that game. The wins are just suspect always for FG. You can only play with who’s scheduled next. I just don’t see anything that suggests this year is going to be any different for FG.
Are you using past history to predict future games? You just contadicted the tripe you wrote on another post. Internal inconsistency they call it. I just just call it mental midgetry.
