Tyronn Lue has turned down a three year ( 18 million dollar ) contract to coach the Los Angeles Lakers. Tyronn Lue wanted a five year contract and more money per year.

Dogfather and Tyronn Lue are from Mexico, Missouri. I guessing employment and salaries are very good in Mexico, Missouri however the influential Dogfather should rethink his position if he is an adviser to the unemployed Tyronn Lue who wants to coach in the NBA again.

Lue wisely rejected the offer mainly because management wanted to pick his assistants. That's a kiss of death at any level.

He could do that Dogfather because the Cavaliers are paying him quite well to be retired right now.

It appears Tyronn Lue was more interesting in a higher salary then the opportunity to coach again in the NBA. Tyronn Lue may never get another head coaching opportunity like the Lakers position again. Opportunities only comes for each of us a few times in our lifetime. We either take the advantage or decline. One of my opportunities came in the form of declining a graduated assistance offer @ the university of Arkansas. I have often wondered how my life would have changed if I took the Arkansas offer.

He is being paid a big salary still from the Cavaliers so it was not about the salary. Who would want to go into a coaching job at that level and not have a say in the assistant coaches you will be working for? It is crazy how things are in today's society.

Go back at look at the team they surrounded LeBron with. It was like they went bargain shopping at Big Lots. If you like Kyre you will love Rondo.

..... Spent most of our day in the Mex-Plex overindulging on the MHS grads receiving many scholarships.
For several years me and Char my lovely wife of almost 55 years have given 3 scholarships. Todays recipients were Ansel Herrera Garcia, Elania Grubb and Cody Rowe...
This is from money we worked our butts off to earn. Always saved and invested and spent much less than we made. Did without til we could pay for it... Not that difficult if you are raised in a home without indoor plumbing and you produced most everything... including beef, pork, chickens and a huge garden maintained with a hoe...
We still enjoy a simple life in the country cabin we designed and built ourselves 45 years ago...

Some things are more important than money.......and that is especially true when you already have $25,000,000. I have total faith that Tyronn did what was best for him AND he doesn't have to put up with LeBron.

I never said the La La's couldn't win, I just said Lue made the right decision. Don't think he regrets it now either.

Tyronn definitely made the right choice in NOT taking the Lakers job. Like they said, he is making millions Not to coach so why in the world would he want all the headaches of the power struggle with LBJ when he could not even pick his own staff? I believe Tyronn would tell you himself that LA could not have paid him enough money to take that job. IMO of course.
