Kind of a loaded question. It's just starting to really dawn on me what's happened at Mizzou, personel-wise. I've never witnessed before this kind of a one year transformation in any college program.
This could really give Missouri high school basketball a boost.

Pretty amazing! Anderson had to go and the fact that he took a bullet for the team coming in after Haight is something loyal Tiger fans should be grateful for, but the kind of transformation that took place this spring is.nothing short of a miracle. Go Tigers. Now it's time to make it all work on the floor.

The problem is the fact that they HAVE to make it work or it could be back to square one.

I'd "take a bullet" for $1M+ per year.

Anderson was a victim of his own incompetence.

I would bet he turns Pitt State around! He might have been in over his head, but incompetence is a bit harsh.
I'm sure he'll do well at pitt state. D2 and D1 ball are worlds different. He was incompetent at running a successful D1 program.

Can't believe this is something we're still arguing about, Martin will win more games this year than Andersen won total in three years.

You have to ask yourself, how much worse is the situation that KA took over at MU than the one Martin took over at MU. Lets not forget, the Tigers have just put together one of the worst three-year stretches at a Power 5 school EVER.

Worse than Baylor after that fiasco. Much worse in fact.

I am in the unfortunate position I guess of having a little bit of insider knowledge and perspective on why KA was unsuccessful at MU because I talk to recruits and AAU coaches, and other college assistants, nearly every day. I'm not going to discuss what I know here, but I'll just say this:

A) it's not an accident that KA never signed a MoKan or STL Eagle kid, and

B) I predicted the next MU coach would have success recruiting at the school two years ago. For good reason.

It's not all KA's fault, but a vast majority of it is. A lot of coaches have done infinitely better under similar, or worse circumstances.

Ultimately, the proof is in the pudding. People can excuse away KAs failures at MU all they want, but at the end of the day, his record speaks for itself as does the fact that he went from a Power 5 school back to D2. There's a reason no one gave him a D1 job before MU, and a reason why no one gave him a D1 job after MU. And that reason has nothing to do with Frank Haith.

Sounds like you are closer to this situation than me so I'll defer to you. I wish both coaches the best of luck as I am a big time Mizzou fan and grad of Pitt State.
