Wouldnt like DGB, Johnny Maziel, Braxton Miller, LaMichael James, or Monte Ball be PERFECT for this?

Watching these games just thinking of all the College stars I would like to see.

Another question, if this works (FOX/ESPN with money behind it) wouldnt the NFL just try and purchase it for a couple Billion? Why hasnt the NFL ever attempted this themselves? It would definitely 100% work if the NFL did it. If you arent quite good enough for the NBA, you’ll be in the G-League or can Play overseas. MLB has the minor leagues and just many semi-pro baseball leagues. The appetite for Football in the US is plenty big enough for this, just need a reparable brand like the NFL to back it.

There's such a thing as oversaturation. Part of the reason the NFL is so successful is the season is 20 weeks and for the majority of the season football only occurs 3 days a week. This leaves the fans wanting more (which is perfect from a marketing and sales perspective) in contrast, the NBA and MLB have games literally every night of the week for almost 24 weeks, that's oversaturation and as a result people may only tune in for a handful of games a year, they don't feel like they're missing anything if they take a week or three off.

I'm all for pro football in St. Louis, but if they're going to do a "minor league" and make it successful it needs to be run concurrently to the NFL season.

With high school, nfl, and college football in action 6 days a week, who will watch it?

having it run concurrently would make it irrelevant. I mean no one would watch it. Right now is perfect. And Im not suggesting a “Minor league” as in like feeder teams, but more just like an alternative league also linked to the NFL. It would end in April right before the NFL draft. Then they could have the Alternative Team draft be in September, after all the NFL cuts and after college hopefuls realize they arent gonna play in the NFL this year.

Who watches the G-League in the NBA? If the NFL wanted a minor league there are precedents (NBA, MLB, NHL) that are plenty viable and they play in the same season as the main show. It's about development, not eyeballs.

I liked watching nfl Europe when they had that. I assumed they didn’t make money...

The XFL said in the beginning they didn’t want players with criminal pasts. They didn’t phrase it that way, but that was basically their way of saying they didn’t want people like DGB or Manziel.

Before NFL Europa you had the World League of American Football 1991-1992. Most of the teams were based in North America and a handful in Europe. It was a spring league. When the NFL got involved all the teams were moved to Europe in 1995.
Orlando Thunder
Birmingham Fire
Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks became Ohio Glory
New York/New Jersey Knights
Montreal Machine
San Antonio Riders
Sacramento Surge
London Monarchs
Barcelona Dragons
Frankfurt Galaxy
