What happens if we cannot play sports at all this year, can MSHSAA financially survive thru the year, wonder what the future looks like, it will be in thier best interest to try and get things going I would think?
I want to see some normalcy also but you have to wonder, what will parents say if people are still getting sick come fall?
Will school boards want the worry about the responsibility that allowing sports brings since you will be traveling to other communities? I heard somebody say what happens if we go to another town and some kid unknowingly gets infected shows no symptoms and infects a child in school with underlying medical condition and that child dies that never left and only attended school. What is the schools liability? sorry not trying to be a Debbie downer but I know people are talking about it especially if they start doing contact tracing who is responsible for insuring the safety with close contact sports? People will want to know schools are doing everything to keep all kids safe, and putting children on a bus to play a sport in another town, will everybody in the community think that is wise? I mean we had no cases that I know of and we shut the schools down this year. Thoughts?
